Device Protection Plan for BYOD phones

If I buy an unlocked Galaxy S25 Ultra from Samsung, can I get a protection plan still from Xfinity mobile? I'm an existing customer and I read on the website that BYOD Phones can get the device protection plan, but I want to be sure it's not just for new customers and also works for existing customers as well. Thank you

Hey there, Ctowndrama, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your new device. You would be able to enroll in Xfinity Mobile Care. You would just need to enroll within 30 days of the device purchase or upgrade. Here is a link to more details, https://www.xfinity.com/learn/protection-plans. Let us know if you have any additional questions.

So I got my Galaxy S25 Ultra ...and Xfinity won't give me a mobile care plan...brand new phone from Samsung as I mentioned. Existing Xfinity (Comcast) customer for nearly 30 years. Xfinity mobile customer for 5 years or so. I don't understand why I was told I could here and also on Reddit by Xfinity employees, yet I'm not able to get this to happen. Nothing is ever easy with Xfinity. I'm always jumping through hoops whether it's tv, Internet or mobile...
