Xb9 modem

I recently noticed the XB9 Was launched as an alternative to the XB10 with Wi-Fi 7 capability, but is for households that do not have duplex speeds. I was wondering if I could get assistance in ordering this modem to my address to replace my XB8, as my account should be eligible since I have gigabit speeds in an enhanced area

@fearlessvoicee Great question. The newest Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB9) will be available for eligible new members in select markets who add Xfinity Pro. This means we would need to review the account to see if you are in the selected area and add the package that is needed if you do not have it already. I will follow up on the 18th.

When will the XB9 be available in all areas? My neighborhood was upgraded with all the Docsis 4.0 amplifiers on July 1, but has not been launched yet, so I want get to the XB9 until I can get XB10.

I have been a customer with xfinity for over 10 years. I pay for 800mbps speeds and only get about half that over WiFi. I have an outdated xb6 router than only supports WiFi5. You’re telling me I can’t upgrade to the xb9 because I’m not a new customer? I’m literally paying monthly to rent an outdated piece of hardware. This is insane. Will go to xfinity store to ask about it and if I can’t upgrade I will be cancelling my subscription.
