Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_dalton We have released the XB10 on the 4th of this month to select markets for testing that have our enhanced network, but we still don't have a specific date of the full release I can provide. A store near you may have a more specific date of when they expect them, but currently no specifics I can find.

I hope the Colorado springs area gets them soon.

user_dalton It definitely couldn't hurt to try reaching out to your local Service Center to ask if there is an ETA on the devices.

Hi there, user_ctu1ad and thread! I am with you all wanting the XB10! What a great device! We are still rolling this out. As of 4/20/25 it is available to X Class customers with X-500 or X-Gig speeds anywhere in our footprint. It is not yet available for enhanced speed or general speed tiers at this time. It can be self installed or set up with a technician visit. For X-2Gig customers, a visit is required to get it set up. I do not see any further information at this time on when this will expand to further speed tiers but do expect to see us continue to expand that in the future.

Thanks ! I currently have an XB7 and am on Gigabit X2 program , and am in the Ballard area. Is the XB10 available yet for this specific scenario to be installed by a technician? I was going to be upgrading my router/AP to the new Orbi 970 but need to wait until the new X-Class Service and XB10 is available to truly take advantage of the speed.

I have read in the forums that the current setup for customers is leveraging an XB8 and another piece of hardware , but still doesn’t solve the same setup as an Xb10.

Thanks !

Thank you for reaching out here @user_c6utqf. Currently, the XB10 modem is only available for X-class customers with symmetrical speeds of 500 Mbps or higher. Once there is a sufficient inventory available those would be available for upgrades of your current equipment.

@XfinityJohnG to clarify, how do I upgrade or sign up for the X-Class Symmetrical Speeds in my area. I don't even see that as an option in Seattle (More specifically in Ballard)

Hi @user_ctu1ad I hope the day has been treating you well. We can check your location to see if our X-Class speed tier is available.

If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.
