Set up new Netgear CM3000 modem but not getting advertised upload speeds

I replaced my old Motorola MB8611 with a Netgear CM3000 modem in the hopes of getting better upload speeds.  I'm currently getting about 40 Mbps upload which is about the same as I was getting with the Motorola modem.  In my account I still see the Motorola modem listed and I'm wondering if that is a problem.  Can't figure out any way to remove it.

Hi @user_d496ee,

You're headed in the right direction. A modem that is not capable of faster speeds still being listed as the active modem on the account can prevent the bootfile with faster upload speeds from being applied. If the new modem has been activated properly the older modem should cause no issues and that old modem typically gets deleted after some time. We do have a few tricks up our sleeve that should resolve this issue. We'll need to gather some additional details so that we can locate your account and get this fixed for you. Please send our team a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.
