Scam
Today I received a call from Xfinity regarding a promotion and offered me a $90 per month rate for two years if I paid 6 months in advance using a Target gift card. The caller had a significant amount of information about my Xfinity account. Also after the offer and when I called back their answering system had the exact same message and routine call options as the real Xfinity site. Long story short I was scammed out of $540. The bigger problem that concerns me is that it is no coincidence that I was speaking with an Xfinity service agent yesterday about billing on my account. That agent was not helpful and tried to pressure me into adding mobile to my account and sent an email quote that I am sure is legitimate from Xfinity. It bothers me that I was scammed today and fooled because so much of the details I was going over with Xfinity yesterday were know by the scammer today. Xfinity should look into whether or not there is some insider collaborator feeding scammers.
