Refund Options

I received an email about an account refund through xfinityrefunds.com, and the only options for the refund are virtual card, physical card, or transfer to debit card. I'd like to just get my refund as a check or chargeback to my credit card. The fine print also said the options for the cards had fees associated and expiration dates which seems more like a bad gift card than a refund.

Hey @user_077251,

Thank you for taking the time to visit and review our official Xfinity Community Forums page. With XfinityRefunds, those would be the eligible options for the account. Sounds like transferring the funds to a debit card would be your best option if you do not want to put the funds on a virtual or physical card. If you have any additional questions, you can use the Chat Functionality which is located to the right-hand side of https://www.xfinityrefunds.com/ which can provide you with a chat or phone number to call.

I spoke with [edit: name] at the corporate office a couple weeks ago. My account was a mess. He did understand what the issues were. After sorting those things out, he agreed that I was due a refund of $52.30. Since it has been a while, without a resolution, I called corporate back on 9/15 and spoke to [edit: name]. He read [edit: name] notes and told me he also sees where I had told him I wanted the refund placed back on my card.

After long dialog & a lot of time on his part, he also understood that I would prefer the refund was placed on my bank card . (the same card that Xfinity withdrew my monthly funds from.)

That has not happened. I keep getting this clutter of requests by email to finish up my blah blah card process. I do NOT want to do that. I want my money placed back on my card ! We're not talking about hundreds of dollars here.

To be clear, I want my refund applied to the card you show on my account.  That account number is [Edit: Personal Identification Information]

You have my number on record. Feel free to call me & get this rectified. I would appreciate that.

 Thank you ,[edit: name]

I received the same email. Why not just automatically refund to card or account the payment came from? Seems like an attempt to avoid making refunds

[Edited: "Inflammatory"] from the way they try to prevent you from getting service to these cards, which should be illegal. They use the cards (I am know this from inside information) because the non-use rate is quit high and, thus, they avoid actually paying the refunds. Is there any wonder that people hate the company and are leaving in droves?

I agree with the previous visitors. I paid by credit card and I want the options for my refund

1. back on the card

2. A check to deposit

Why are you forcing use to accept some random card?

Hello @user_b5ee80! Our refunding process does make an initial attempt to refund the last payment method used within 45 days of the refund processing date. The prepaid card is an option if the payment was unable to be refunded back to the payment method.

xfinity employee is wrong.  If they had attempted to refund to the original method of payment then that's how we would have gotten a refund. I looked at the options and they all FORCE you to create an account with a password in order to access their garbage digital wallet.  Just give me my money back instead of creating hoops to jump through which I'm sure is designed so that in the end a lot of people don't bother with their refund and xfinity gets to keep the money.

I had the same options, but when I told my representative (Mohammed) that I wanted my refund transferred to my debit card.

I do not have the desire to be on my computer at length.

I got a code, I put it in in a timely manner. NOTHING happened. I tried 4 different times.

I just want my money returned to my debit card.

I cancelled all Xfinity services and was due a refund.  I got the same email with the options of virtual card, physical card, and transfer to debit card.  I wanted a transfer to debit card.  I created an account for their virtual wallet in hopes of getting this transfer and after submitting, the next page said that a verification email would be sent and I needed to click a link to verify this new account.  I got the email and gmail flagged it as suspicious and removed all links within the email.  This seems very scammy.  Now I'm forced to call Xfinity customer service, spend 30 minutes wading through their automated phone tree and another 30 minutes to actually get a rep on the line so that I can have a check sent (which, i'm sure, will take 3-4 weeks to receive.)  Just another example of terrible customer service which is why I cancelled everything I had from them.
