Moving service drop to below ground

Hello, I need help moving my service drop from an overhead drop to below ground. I already have an empty underground conduit from the pole to the house ready to go.

@james19421 Hello! Thank you for reaching out so we can help relocate this drop! Typically, your drop is set up in the same location as your utilities, so if your utilities are above ground, then your drop would be too. However, in certain cases we may be able to relocate it underground if your area does not require it to be in the same location as your utilities. We can set up a job on our end to have someone come out and survey if the relocation is possible, and there would be a one-time $100 non-refundable charge for this visit. If it is determined that we are unable to relocate the line, the $100 charge would still apply. If this is something you are okay with and would like us to get up, then please send us a direct message with your full name and address and we'll get that process started!

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a live chat.

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it

We look forward to hearing from you!

@XfinityKatie Our utilities used to be above ground, but they were relocated to below ground a few years ago. When we did that, we had them put an extra conduit for internet to be relocated in the future.

If you determine that a relocation is possible, is there additional charge to do the relocation?

@james19421 That is a great question. Once we put in a request it would be reviewed and assessed. There could be a fee attached, but that is up to the technicians at the time of reviewing the request.
