How do I speak with a real person? [Edited]

I have some questions regarding my 85yo mother's account and I'm trying to help her since I live in SoCal.  It's incredibly difficult to speak to a real person!  I've called and been on hold for hours only after going through a 2-hour game of phone menu and cannot get anywhere with the chat feature.  Now I can't get any help on here.

I just called a few days ago because she is a senior citizen [85yo] on a limited income and her bill was skyrocketing.  They gave her a promotion at a lower price.  I'm looking to lower her bill more and was thinking about switching to the Xumo or Roku and getting rid of the remaining 2 boxes she has. 

1. How much will that lower her bill? 

2. Will that affect her current promotion? 

3. Is there a better promotion? 

4. If I switch her to Xumo or Roku I think I need to up her Wi-Fi possibly?  Is that correct?

5. If I do, is there a better promotion to include the increased Wi-Fi?

@user_4euqja Very good questions and thanks for clarifying, we can help with that here. The boxes are $10 each, so if you remove them that should be a savings of $20 a month. It doesn't affect the promotion at all, but will impact the monthly payment. You can switch to a Xumo box which is awesome, but it is a starter box for NOW TV. Customers can upgrade to X1 cable from there. To avoid the monthly fee, she can use a Roku device with the Stream app and enjoy all of her content as she does with the cable boxes. So can the additional users on her account. We recommend a Roku device for the Xfinity Stream app, as those are usually stronger than the TV apps. You can search for new promotions here https://www.xfinity.com/broadband-labels, just sign in. If you have any trouble or want us to review them together, let us know. We'll get you into a private thread.

Direct messaging isn't allowed until an official employee asks you to do so; it's against the Forum Guidelines and the Acceptable Use Policy to send anyone an unrequested DM/PM.  Also note, if you do send one without being asked to do so, it could possibly be ignored.
 
Please post your issue in public in the proper forum so that it can be addressed either by other customers or by an Official Employee.
