how deep is cable buried?
We are looking to add power to a shed and have all our lines marked. Unfortunately the cable lines cross over our path. How deep are the cable/phone lines buried in our yard?

Hey @CMoore216! We typically buy our lines 18 to 24inches deep.

You should have someone come out and flag the line.
Alternative is if you cut the line, it will have to be replaced.

I live in Gloucester twp.NJ and the Comcast cable tv wire can be buried two inches. I have cut them while doing shrub planting. There must not be a code they have to follow like gas or electric.
