Customer Reward Program.... scam?

I have received the same popup 3 days in a row now on both my work and home laptops.  I've tried blocking it, but I still receive it.  Seems fishy to me.

This pop-up came while I was in my xfinity e-mail and I got sucked in. I have cleared my cookies and cache but wonder what else I can do to prevent them from using my credit card information. They knew what it was and populated their "Congratulations You're Today's WINNER" page with it before I backed out.

My popup is on any Google page I am looking at. I can't turn it off or report it. Once it starts, it doesn't stop unless I completely log out and then I have to wait a while before I can get back on Google.  I was in the process of switching providers, but Xfinity talked me into keeping them by lowering my payments. Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake.

Here is the web address for the pop-up that keeps popping up each time I open my Xfinity email.  PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!  I have done all the suggestions you have written above but nothing works, it just keeps coming.  I am forced to close my email and reopening it each time I get this annoying popup.

Had I known that you couldn't give me a straight answer on how to stop the popups and it would result in getting spam like updates by others I would have never commented.

My recommendation is to avoid the xfinity forums.

I'm getting it on my laptop in Chrome on my Xfinity email tab, no other tabs. I usually keep that open all the time and just in the last couple of days I've started getting the spam. It seems to be from luckybeing.me. I did go to an ESPN webpage on my phone, but not on the computer. However, I use the same Google account on both and Chrome history on my laptop shows the ESPN site. I have cleared all ESPN from my history, but I just got the customer reward program announcement. I can hit the back key to get back to email. I have closed the Xfinity Chrome tab for now. I may open the email web browser in Firefox to see if the same thing happens. I also ran a full Norton scan of my computer (and an external drive I forgot to remove) and no threats were found.

@Patti4244  same here. I use Chrome

I suspect that the ESPN connection is just coincidence. I usually just leave the Comcast/Xfinity email tab open all the time in Chrome and just recently have been getting the problem. I haven't tried Chrome, but I have had the tab open in Firefox for two days and haven't seen the spam, so maybe I'll just keep checking my email there for a while until Xfinity sorts things out. I may also try scanning my computer with a different security program for a little overkill.

Yes, no connection. I never visit ESPN and the people at Xfinity need to use a little common sense, the pop up or takeover page refers to Comcast's Rewards program, this is from someone familiar with it and most likely resident on their servers. I went as far as changing my password to my account yesterday but again, like clockwork, about 1/2 hour ago I had it pop up/takeover my Comcast email page once again.

Try logging in to https://www.xfinity.com/privacy/opt-out#Preference-opt-out and moving all the sliders to OFF. That should turn off ads on the connect.xfinity.com webmail page and, hopefully, the scam ad as well. You may need to log in with your Primary UserID to do this, and you may need to log out and back in again for the change to take effect.

Did you try deleting your cache. That helped me. Also, you can open your email in the incognito mode. Hope this helps.

Interesting "solution": disable a presumably revenue-generating service provided by Comcast which is defective and harmful. Perhaps the folks at Comcast would be better served preventing the problem from hijacking the system? Or are you telling us you accept payment from these scam sites as "advertisers"?

@e-Randy, Thanks for sharing this information. At Comcast, we take your security very seriously and strive to make your experience as seamless as possible. We do not accept payments from scam sites and strongly advise against it. Since turning off the ads, are you still experiencing the same issue?

I am having this same issue - EVERY DAY. An amazon award pop up and the only way to remove it is to completely log out and then log back in. this needs to be resolved ASAP.

I have this problem when I open our company Xfinity email. Within a minute to 10 min I see the Xfinity Customer Reward has taken over the tab completely. Called Xfinity customer service today they say no one has reported this before and is it not them and I have malware or a virus. I use a miniMac and whatever this is, it is not being detected by the Malware/Virus software. None of the other websites I use are being effected.

Hey there user_xz3oa6, thank you for checking out of our Forum for help with your email issues. I can see how a pop-up of any kind would get to be pretty annoying, but I have your back. Are you accessing your emails on the Xfinity site or a 3rd party email client? Also, to confirm, is the email in question linked to a business account or a residential account?

Hey Xfinity!

This has been going on for 30 days.  The links you provide always say "Error 400:  Issue Loading Page."  Please do something!  It's obviously on your end because it ONLY happens when you log into your Xfinity email.  Someone has hacked into your system.  Why haven't you figured that out?  Getting very frustrated every single day.

Update: had been experiencing same symptom multiple times per day and noted it happening exclusively within Microsoft Edge (not with firefox or chrome for me).

I am running win 11 with Malwarebytes and defender and had no viruses flagged.

Went to my apps and hit the three dots for Microsoft Edge and selected modify. I selected the repair option on the next window and rebooted after it completed.

I have not experienced the Xfinity Customer Reward program popup for over a week now...Hopefully fixed?

@user_r67gnv I have only experienced it in Chrome. I immediately switched to Edge after the second instance of it in Chrome and have not experienced it (yet) in Edge. I update Chrome very frequently- seems like several or more times per week recently.

This is ridiculous.  Add me to the list.  I am using Chrome and it happens to me when I go to my Xfinity Email.  Only way to get rid of it is close, which kicks me out of Xfinity and then I have to log back in.  It is a pain as it happens alot.  I have tried the suggestions listed and nothing seems to get rid of it.  I also have Norton and it is not catching it.  Clearing out the cache does nothing.  I believe that the responsibility lies with Xfinity and not with us.  Why are you not doing anything to kill this thing?  I am no tech guru and do not really feel comfortable screwing around with different "hope this fixes it" suggestions.  Please do your jobs and get rid of this thing and stop asking us to try things that are not working.  After all, your team is the "Customer Security Assurance experts" are they not?
