Construction for service

So I’m moving into a new house next week, it’s only 10 minutes from my current home which I have my Xfinity. I live in the heart of my town, so moving only 10 minutes away I would think I’d still be in a “serviceable” area. Anyways I went to set up an address transfer and they told me my new address couldn’t get service. I went to their coverage map and there’s literally two areas extremely close to me that get service, I’m a little sliver in between that doesn’t?! So I spoke to a representative, and they told me they could check to see if my house was serviceable, and she told me that yes, they could indeed run cable to my house… for $12,000!!! WHAT?!?! That is absolutely ridiculous! Why is it there’s areas so close by that get it and I can’t? Directly in between the two! And if I’m “serviceable” why so much!

Hi there! Our awesome digital care team would be happy to assist you. Can you initiate a direct message and start with your full name and address? To start a direct message, you must be signed in. Please click the "Direct Messaging" icon in the top right of the page next to the bell, and send your message to "Xfinity Support". Talk to you there!

Ok I just sent a message!

@user_nick062501 I would like to direct message you as well regarding a piece of property we are going to build on. I know Comcast is in the area, but we need an estimate to have it brought back to our house.  I don't have a "direct message" button next to the bell in the upper right corner.  (I am on desktop version, not app, if that matters). Thank you!
