Cancel Xfinity Now Internet

Hi,

I am trying to cancel my Xfinity Now Internet service. I have 1. gone to the Xfinity store physically, 2. Call the Xfinity customer service, 3. Use the Xfinity Assistant in the app, 4. Use the website, but none of them can tell me how to cancel the service.

This is extremely frustrating. I do not want to pay for a service that I spent 4 hours trying to activate and to no avail. I just need a way to cancel the service as soon as possible. I don't need to be given other options.

Thank you for your feedback, user_o8onub. If you ever need to cancel your Xfinity NOW Internet service, you can do it right from the NOW Portal (xfinity.com/now). Just log in, go to your active service, and choose “Pause or cancel service” or “Turn off autopay” if you simply want to stop future charges. I know managing subscriptions can feel like a hassle but once you make the change, your service will still stay active until the end of your current prepaid period. Included below is a helpful article with step by step instructions for reference.

Please be reminded that sending unsolicited Direct Messages to an Official Employee of the Xfinity Community Forum is a violation of Forum Guidelines. In the future, we ask that you please find the most appropriate public board for your question type and post it there. If needed, we may invite you to send us a Direct Message. This is just a heads-up for next time, and I look forward to helping out here.

There is no active service because it is pre-activated.

Hello, @user_blqqe0 were you able to follow @XfinityThomasA instructions to cancel your service? You can temporarily pause your service or cancel any time online by turning off autopay in your NOW Portal. To do so, simply select Turn off autopay. You will not receive a refund, but will continue to have service until the end of your prepaid service period.

Hi there, @user_mhca2x! I am sorry to hear that you want to cancel your NOW internet service. This is the NOW internet FAQ page, https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/now-internet-faqs. NOW Internet is a prepaid service that requires enrollment in automatic payments at the time of purchase. Your subscription to NOW Internet will renew at the end of your prepaid service period unless you temporarily pause your service or cancel your plan. You can temporarily pause your service or cancel any time online by turning off autopay in your NOW Portal. To do so, simply select Turn off autopay. You will not receive a refund, but will continue to have service until the end of your prepaid service period.

If you need any additional assistance, the dedicated NOW team is found in the Xfinity Assistant chat, https://www.xfinity.com/xfinityassistant/?intent=skill.cxao.now.entry. They have access to the NOW accounts and are able to assist you as needed.

Ok here's what you do - go to their support/contact us area and try to get the 'xfinity chat' going - I think it's a bot but whatever.  It will give you a bunch of options 'how can I help you?' the 'cancel' choice just kicks you to scheduling-a-call.  Instead choose 'billing questions' and you get connected with a live agent - you tell them how  you want to cancel etc and they say 'I will let that department know'.  They call you back within 5 minutes just to confirm when you want the service to end and that was it.   Maybe regardless, you end up being forced to talk to a person but at least via the chat it was within 5 minutes.

Dear Xfinity Customer Support,

I am writing to formally request a full refund for my Xfinity NOW prepaid internet service due to your inability to provide the service I paid for.

For the past three weeks, my internet connection has been dropping continuously. I have contacted your support team through chat numerous times, but nothing has been resolved.

A technician was sent to my home and determined that the modem was faulty. Another technician later replaced the modem. The replacement modem worked for only one day before the same problem returned.

Since then, I have been sent back and forth between your phone support and chat support. When I call, I am told that phone support cannot assist because I have a NOW prepaid service and that I must use chat support. When I contact chat support, they direct me back to phone support. No one has taken responsibility for resolving my issue, and I have spent weeks wasting my time trying to get the service working.

At this point, I have completely lost confidence in Xfinity's ability to provide the internet service I paid for. I have been paying for a service that has been unreliable and largely unusable, despite multiple support requests and technician visits.

Therefore, I am requesting a full refund for my NOW prepaid service. Since Xfinity has been unable to deliver the service or resolve the issue after repeated attempts, I believe a full refund is the only fair resolution.

Please process my refund promptly and confirm when it has been issued. If this matter cannot be resolved immediately, I request that it be escalated to a supervisor or the appropriate customer relations department.

I expect a response within the next few business days.
