Another case of NOT getting port 25 unblocked
I started a chat hoping that they have simplified this process, but nope, I was given 2 phone numbers to call instead - 1 phone number didn't even belong to xfinity, it took me to some other company's on call system. The other number got me through to an unenthusiastic agent that put me on hold for a while then came back and stated that a request was submitted and I would be contacted by phone to confirm setting it up.....which never happened. I didn't even get a case number. I don't agree with the decision to just blanket block a port or any sort of filtering at the ISP level but if you have to do it, at least make the process to get it unblocked simpler for those wanting to do so. It would be much better than having to rant about it on a forum in hopes that your request will be fulfilled.
Anyway, here is my rant, MAYBE I'll get the port unblocked finally...

@XfinityCSAEmail can you still help with this? I'm being told it isn't even possible and yet there are other cases where people have been told they could:
https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/email/port-25-unblock-art-of-the-business-as-usual-runaround-and-is-there-anybody-out-there/636861fc92a15b227c29043f
I fear this will be another case of the unwillingness to help because comcast is the only option for high speed internet in my area, such as the case with the data cap. All my friends with xbox game pass got a discounted or free removal of the data cap but "in my area" there is no option for that so to utilize game pass I'm paying comcast a ridiculous fee that I KNOW others aren't.
