What do you mean by "blocking sound"? For X1 boxes, you need to make sure the audio channel is set to default. I no longer have an X1 box, but I think if you hit up-arrow to show the timebar, there are several icons to the left. One is for audio channel.
Hello user_z00h06, we never block the sound on any of our networks, but I can understand how annoying that would be to deal with. I'd love to work with you more and help get your audio issue resolved. Are you only having the audio issue on the one network, or are you able to test other networks?
I have called five times been on the line. They done all the backgrounds. Restarted the TV. I’ve shut it off. I’ve turned it on three times. I cannot get the sound on Newsmax. Every other channel works great.
user_2nje3b Are you still having a concern with the sound levels for Newsmax?

Just to confirm user_l06h5p, is it only on one channel and no other channel?

I too am having no sound on Newsmax. I checked volume settings. I had notice no problem earlier today or yesterday. Today is a bigger news day so I am News surfing to get all the details about the hostage release.

Its very strange that only Newsmax loses sound on Xfinity yet you can hear the commercials. This dosent happen on MSNBC or CNN. it happens frequently on Newsmax. Why?

They seem to be blocking because of Newsmax’s conservative language

In my opinion, Xfinity [Edit: Language]!
I never had this Newsmax audio problems with Spectrum and it only developed when I recently moved to Florida and being held hostage by Xfinity.
I demand a billing credit for not delivering all that’s in my viewing plan. 🤬🤬🤬
