WHY IS COMCAST CHANGING TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES TO SPORTS PACKAGE IN OCTOBER?

I just received a notice from Comcast that they are removing TCM, Turner Classic Movies, from all current packages and moving it to the SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE?    What possible logic is there to that brilliant change?  TCM is widely viewed by many Comcast subscribers on their regular packages--NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE!  I URGE COMCAST TO LEAVE TCM WHERE IT IS.  I am seriously considering cancelling my Comcast subscription over this.    Get real Comcast and leave TCM alone.  Seriously!

Hey Xfinity!  Why are all the questions related to TCM being moved LOCKED?! Afraid of a revolt? You should be. I am definitely getting rid of Xfinity TV as soon as I can and replacing it with other less expensive alternatives that includes TCM.

Well that make all the sense in the world.  I have always thought that it should be added to the sports line-up.  NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because we're not going to quit shouting about it and warning everyone against subscribing to Comcast and "Xfinity" until COMCAST DOES THE RIGHT THING FOR ONCE IN THEIR EXISTENCE.

Stop scamming us and give us back TCM.

Very disappointed that TCM has been moved to a premium channel.  It needs to be moved back.

I never pay attention to the notifications that Comcast sends along with their bills. I just dutifully pay them their $ 202. because the Internet access is good and I generally am happy with their TV service.

But I was just shaken by their recent idiiotic decision to cut TCM out of my regular channel lineup, in an attempt by them to squeeze yet more money from all of us who love watching movies from the entire history of cinema, commercial-free.

Join me in subtracting some amount of money from the monthly bill that we pay, in protest of their cheating. If TCM isn't restored I will have to look to streaming, etc. as an alternative to Comcast.

Agreed - this makes very little sense, or maybe zero sense. TCM is/was my favorite channel and I’m ready to leave for streaming with this change. Why bundle it with the football stuff? I love football but forcing the package on me if I want a classic film channel have zero sense. Sigh.

I just wrote a similar post. I am with you. Removing TCM was just stupid. They have no concept of who their customers are.

Until recently, we were Spectrum customers in another state.  When we moved, I told the customer service representative how happy I was that we were going to be Xfinity customers becasue Spectrum packages everything to death. How naive I was to think Xfinity would be customer oriented and stay away from segregating favorite channels

We pay over $200 every month so we can receive all the regular channels.  Hey Xfinity - that ain't peanuts!  And I consider TCM a regular channel that SHOULD be available when, again, I'm paying over $200 every month.  I am beyond disgusted!!!

Plus you took away Cinemax, AND you're taking away Starz channels????????  Unbelievable!!

Guess I need to be checking out DirectTV.

Just FYI:  You only have to keep *one* service in order to avoid the early termination fee if you have a contract.  I'm going to be looking at how to pay Xfinity the minimum from now till my contract is up (maybe switch to a cheapo TV plan or just keep internet), and  move my other servicesto other companies and just switch to streaming.

I'm at least as mad about all these locked posts.  What, do they think they can keep the subscriber uproar a secret?  This is all over the internet and even the press.

Discontinuing TCM without notice is an outrage and the additional charge is unethical and dishonest. Everyone is talking about it in neighborhood associations , churches , clubs , civic asoociations , etc.
