Hello and thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! Just to clarify, are you attempting to use the HBO Max app on the X1 box? I know it can be frustrating, however, since it is still considered an app and not a channel you would need to still sign in to access the content. Were you having any issues with signing in that we can help you with?
@oldcustomer1 Ah, I understand! Yes, the app and channel are separate and you would need to sign in through the app to stream it via your phone or PC. I do have some helpful information on this though. If you are the primary user and already subscribe, you can follow the steps to stream HBO MAX.
Open the HBO Max mobile app or website. On web, choose SIGN IN on the upper-right. On mobile, select the person icon, then SIGN IN.
Choose SIGN IN THROUGH TV OR MOBILE PROVIDER
This is just in case you have any trouble but please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns. HBO MAX is personally one of my favorites. I got to see Kong VRS. Godzilla while it was in theaters through it and thought that was just great!

Hi. Hadn't tried signing in yet on my PC or phone, will give it a shot. Just seems weird that I am already paying for it but it's not a channel.
