Where is MeTV?

MeTV has disappeared from my Comcast service as of February 1, 2020.  Why?  I hope it will be returning soon!

METV was a substation of KTVD/KUSA and they dropped METV. I think this is out of Comcast's control and the channel is no longer available via OTA as well. Complaints should probably go to KUSA as they dropped it. https://www.9news.com/contact-us

I personnally am quite upset that this channel went away and hope it is picked up by another network very soon. I would think HULU would offer it but no go.

What is your ZIP code?  There's a chance the station that was broadcasting MeTV where you live switched to something else.

I was going to say that Comcast and whatever station in Denver shows MeTV are working out the details, but apparently some parts of the Denver area ("Western Slope") already have MeTV on Comcast while others ("Front Range") do not. I also notice that there does not appear to be a station in Denver that broadcasts it over the air, so I don't know how Comcast is getting the channel to Denver in the first place.

FYI - apparently, MeTV has been replaced by the Heros & Icons (H&I) channel.  Here's that website, which has a banner at the top of their page  explaining it - somewhat.  They are doing a better job at updating us than Comcast.  https://www.handitv.com/  Also, there is a link there for your info to request personal email updates if and when MeTV returns to the Denver front range channel lineup.  You can go to the MeTV website https://metv.com/ , scroll down on the right and select the  "Where to Watch" tab, and you should see info in the middle of the page that reflects the same info ThatDonGuy posted - Denver - Comcast - Front Range ................ coming.

I'm with you.  I hope Comcast brings it MeTV back, soon.  Hope that helps you.

What happened to METV?

So, I discovered that ALL of those stations - METV, H&I, Decades (also now gone) and START TV (replaced Decades) are all part of the Weigel Brodcasting Company. I sent them a message since I think THEY made the decision, and not the local networks. What a shame that the replacements are not nearly as good as the originals, or they couldn't just offer them all.

Ditto here - we live in Fort Collins/80525 and found it missing last week.  We watch it alot - sure wish we had some notice on this.  We also had our TMC channel moved to the "sports package" for a price increase (again no notice).  I feel like our Digital Preferred package is getting it's choices shrunk and the price is increasing.  So we've got 1000 channels (most of which we don't want) plus internet for $165/month, never any notice of pending discount roll-offs  unless we go to the office and beg.   We put a man on the moon in 1969 - why can't I get 50 channels I actually want for $50/month??  Probably a good thing FoCo is building their own system.

For our Colorado customers  - we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

The station owner decided to change the programming on this station from KTVD MeTV to KTVD Heroes & Icons.

In this area, we are no longer allowed to carry the programming that they have removed. This is a change initiated by KTVD-TV Denver. You can reach them at the below:

KTVD-TV
500 E Speer Blvd
Denver, CO 80203-4187

Main Phone Number: 303.871.9999

Our customers in Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Silt, and Aspen can find similar programming on KREG MeTV based in Glenwood Springs.

So does this mean that we are without MeTV permanently?  If so, that's very disappointing.  Why do other providers, like Dish, still carry it?  As another poster stated, our Digital Preferred package seems to be shrinking by the day, and we pay a lot of money each month for it.  We might just have to look for another provider.

If a Denver area broadcaster decides to offer/carry MeTV and also arranges to have it offered on Comcast then that service may return in your area.

MeTV is carried on digital subchannels of affiliated broadcast television stations in most TV markets.

Checking the MeTV website and entering in a Denver area zip code this morning, shows that  > Denver - Comcast - Front Range is listed as "Coming"

https://www.metv.com/wheretowatch/zip/

Reading between the lines, it sounds like MeTV may be working with area TV stations to return MeTV to Denver.

You can also contact MeTV directly here  https://www.metv.com/contact to see what they might tell you on their plans to return MeTV via a local  broadcast station in Denver.

The MeTV website says to try channels 190, 207, and 1169.

TitanTV says that Blairsville and Robinson have it on 190, and Greensburg has it on 207.
All three should have it on 1169 as well.

None of those channels work.  MeTV is still not available in Denver on Xfinity.
