I ended up calling WSFL and the lady said their Contract with Comet was up and didn't get renewed. But they've got alot of calls from people wondering what happened. So "maybe" in the future they will carry it, but not for another 1-2 years. So for me to watch it I'd have to buy a digital antenna and try to get it from Palm Beach, or use my Fire TV stick as the STIRR app has the Comet channel. I just whish it was on Comcast since I could DVR shows to watch later...can't do that with FireTV stick.

Thanks for the info. I’ll be using my Apple TV for Comet. I also downloaded STIRR app and will see how this goes.  I still plan on scaling my Cable TV down to basic when we move.

Comet TV and CourtTV are broadcast networks carried by a local TV station. Your local station probably changed what network they air. If you know what station carried it, or can give your general location, we might be able to determine just what happened. Comcast just passes on what a broadcast station carries on each of it's subchannels. If the broadcast changes, Comcast will end up changing.

I live in Miami, FL. On my channel line-up, this is channel 227 on my channel line up.  Is there anyone I can speak to get Comet back?

If you get an antenna, and search local channels, the channel may still be on 12.3 over the air in your area.

I use an antenna in the Minneapolis / St. Paul metro area and get 50 + channels. It's much easier watching local channels over the air versus cable.

Hard to say. From the Comet web site, it says it's available over the air on channel 12.3, but I see no channel 12 in Miami. I used zip code 33128 in their search:

I am in Broward and the same thing happened here. Comcast had Court TV and Comet TV on two different channels. Then last week the channel for Court TV was gone (I never watched it) and they took the Comet channel and turned it into Court TV.  I watched Comet almost every night, so now another chanel I like I gone. Who wants to watch Court Cases from 30-40 years ago? But the local broadcaster is WSFL Miami. They have several digital sub-channels including Comet and Court TV. They told me both are available OTA with a DTV Antenna, and it was Comcast that decided not to carry Comet any more.

Well, I have Apple TV and downloaded the COMET app and can watch it from there. I’m moving in a couple of months and will be scaling back down to basic cable. All I need is internet.  It’s getting ridiculous on what we pay for Cable TV

Thanks!

I was able to download STIRR TV app on my Amazon Fire Tv Stick and they have Comet on there. It's just to bad that with Comcast not having it, I can't DVR any of the shows at night to watch later on.

@20211978 wow, I have 2 of the Fire Stick 4K USB sticks connected to 2 TVs and tried the STIRR app with both to view Comet TV and they came through nice and clear (1080p HD). Are you using the external stick, or does the TV have built-in Fire TV App (nothing external)? Sounds like it might be a WiFi signal issue from your router.
