TV package tiers
I've been a very long-time Xfinity customer, 35+ years. I currently have tv (Popular package), internet, and mobile phone service with Xfinity. With baseball season approaching, I would like to watch our local Seattle Mariners team play on Root Sports. However, that particular channel was moved up to the Ultimate package tier. I don't want to watch all the other additional channels that come with the Ultimate package - just the Root Sports channel. I'm told that my total bill would increase by over $40 a month to do that type of upgrade. Being a senior on a fixed income, we can't afford that kind of price increase. I see that I can drop all of my Xfinity services and switch to Fubo or Direct TV Stream, both of which carry Root Sports on their basic packages, for about what I am paying now. Even though I don't want to leave Xfinity after all these years, it doesn't appear that I have a choice. This happened last year as well, and Xfinity offered the higher Ultimate package for just about $5 per month as a promotion, hoping customers would continue with the higher package after the baseball season ended. Are there any such opportunities available now, or do I begin to transition to an alternate provider?

Hey there, user_ec4d2c, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding your channel lineup. I understand how important it is to have access to your team's big games! We truly appreciate you being in Xfinity for so many years, and we do not want to lose you as a customer. I would be happy to see what options we have available to add the Ultimate channel lineup to your account. I see you sent over a Direct Message, and we will go ahead and continue to assist you with your account there.
