TCM to be put back into Digital Preferred package

Anyone else get a call from Comcast today? I got a call asking me about my Customer Service experience when I complained about TCM being moved to the stupid sports package for $9.99 additional cost per month. I ended up turning in 1 of my 4 TV boxes to offset the cost last week when TCM all of a sudden disappeared from my lineup. On the call today, Comcast told me they are working on getting TCM put back into the Digital Preferred package but they don't know when it will actually happen (good news!). They also told me I will get a refund for 4 months of the sports package once they change TCM back to Digital Preferred package. Wondering if anyone else got a call about this and if they are getting this same deal.

Due to a technical issue, many of our customers in DC, MD, VA, parts of DE and parts of WV were not properly notified of the move of TCM to the Sports Entertainment Package (SEP) level of service.  As a result, TCM was returned to its previous level of service in those areas. Bill messaging will begin for impacted accounts in these areas on October 14, 2019, to support the move of TCM to SEP on December 13, 2019.

---------------

This is the reason some will get the package back for a while.

I would just like to add that anyone who has access to "You Tube" through Comcast, or otherwise; still can find and watch 1000's of TCM movies there for free.

Just type in: "TCM" in the You Tube search field. You can choose the level of resolution that best fits the device you are watchiing on: smart tv, Ipad, smart phone, pc, etc.

In fact most channels dropped by Comcast recently can still be found by searching You Tube. All you really need is high enough speed broadband to view over the Internet.
