Summer of Free presented by Xfinity Rewards

Starting June 28th, Summer of Free presented by Xfinity Rewards, is your chance to enjoy tons of the best shows, movies, fitness programs and more, all for no extra cost.

 

Select programming from premium networks and subscription platforms are part of Summer of Free, including programming from EPIX, Showtime, History Vault and Gaia. Enjoy free shows and movies like Billy the Kid, The Addams Family 2, Cosmic Disclosure and The Chi. New options will become available each week, so tune in to discover what’s available and get started

 

The Summer of Free content is available directly through Xfinity Flex and X1. Select content is also available on Stream. Simply say “Free” into your Voice Remote to get started and start browsing tons of FREE shows and movies.

amc + seems to be having difficulties again — i stopped something i was watching, went back 5 minutes later and now it requires a subscription

i have reset my cable box but that did not solve the problem

the problem with amc+ seems to be back 

i was watching an episode, stopped it and went back to watch again 5 minutes later and now it requires a subscription

I have not been able to access AMC+ FREE streaming via the Icon, which appeared via my On Demand Menu last Sunday.. as effective 8/16/22 thru Aug 22nd. I just spoke with Comcast, who appeared to be completely unaware of this offer. They provided a ph nbr (for AMC). But, that number ([Edited: "Personal Information"]) only reaches a vm message for AMC.. which says the mailbox is full. [Edited: "Inflammatory"] The AMC series all displayed under my FREE column. But, once I select any show, it says "subscription needed".

My Xfinity main page is showing that AMC+ should be free this week for the Summer of Free Campaign. I watched an AMC+ series last night without issue.  However, today (8/17), the same AMC+ series is now "subscribe" only.  Is there an issue?

I called xfinity this evening about this issue. They are aware of it and I was told it could take 24-48 hours to fix it.

I watched several shows this morning, then the AMC+ shows started requiring a subscription and the "Summer of Free" banner disappeared.  I reset the X-1 box by pulling the power plug for over 30 seconds and when it came on again, the banner still was not there, and the shows still required a subscription.  AMC+ problem has not been resolved.

Two things

1- I wish xfinity would either send a notification or make it clearer that there are free dates and for what channels &

2- Since many of us weren't able to watch amc shows for free are you able to extend the "free" time by a day or two?

I've missed all of the summer watchathon until by accident saw a discovery of witches available, the ad says 6/28-8/29 but thats misleading as channels are broken into short viewing dates now I only have 1 day to watch it. thank you!

Hello,  I was able to watch AMC+ for 5 out of the 7 days once Comcast got the issue fixed, and frankly I appreciate that even though I missed some shows due to shortened watch period. 

But after spending over 30 minutes searching my old tech cable I moved to the Xfinity stream app and searched for an hour and couldn't find anything on either 'THE GREAT COURSES' or 'ONE DAY UNIVERSITY'

I pay Comcast close to $300/month, $3600/year, but they sure make it hard to use/find events such 'SUMMER OF FREE'.

Can you please tell me how to access/find the two networks?  I've already lost the first day of the free preview.

Thank you for posting your Summer of Free questions in our Xfinity Forum. Since The Great Courses and One Day University are individual apps, the content being offered during Summer of Free is not available via the Xfinity Stream app. You will only be able to view that content on Xfinity television equipment that has apps preloaded on them. This means you will be able to watch that content on X1 and Flex devices only. Simply say "Summer of Free" into your Xfinity Voice Remote to go directly to that available content.

We watched 4 episodes in season 3 of A Discovery of Witches during the Summer of Free special. Now we cannot watch the remaining episodes unless we subscribe to AMC+. WHY???
