Rate Hikes + YES Network/Gotham Sports

Anyone else getting hit with rate hikes on devices and the sports fee while under contract?

Then the icing on the cake is the reduction of service. First, no access to YES through the Gotham Sports app and now the entire YES contract expires today? So Xfinity is trying to charge more for reduced service.

When will all 3 pieces here be resolved? I'll be cancelling my contract after this nonsense.

Hi there! We totally get where you’re coming from, and you’re absolutely not alone in feeling this way. When you're seeing changes in pricing and content at the same time—especially for something you care about like YES Network and local sports—it can feel like a real gut punch. And we hear how upsetting that is, especially when you're in a contract expecting things to stay consistent.

Let’s break this down a bit, just to give some clarity:

First, regarding pricing—some fees, like the Broadcast TV and Regional Sports Fees, are based on the costs we pay to carry those channels, and unfortunately, they can change over time even during a contract. We know that’s frustrating, and we’re always working to keep those increases as minimal as possible.

As for YES Network—you're right, our agreement with them expired, and we haven't been able to reach a new deal. We know how important it is to our viewers in the NYC area, especially during baseball season and local sports coverage. Our hope is always to reach a fair agreement that doesn’t raise costs across the board for all customers, and we’re still in talks with them.

In the meantime, we hate that it feels like you’re getting less while paying more. That’s never how we want our customers to feel. We’ll make sure your feedback is heard, and if you’re considering changes or even canceling, we truly hope you’ll give us a chance to review your plan first—there may be other options that still meet your needs, without the added frustration.

We’re here to help however we can, and we really do appreciate you sticking with us while we work through this. If you'd like, we would be happy to take a look at your account to see if there are any opportunities to lower your bill. Let us know how you want to proceed, we want to help. 🙂

Xfinity dropping yes network and already screwed fans with Nesn. Amazing what the rat that owns this company will try and do to save a buck. Do yourselves a favor and switch to directTV. Put your $300 per month to better use
