PBS Pixelation Problems.

We have several PBS channels, all of which are good ones.  Two in particular, WLVT and WPPT, are from the same area and covered here.  The problem is that both of the channels have serious pixelation problems (microblocking?).  Is this something to report to you to have looked into, or is there a department or someone at those channels to whom to report the problem.  I'd love to watch programs without the breaking up all through.

Good afternoon, @mrshvd3! I know first hand the frustration when some of you favorite networks are pixilated. There could be many reasons for this, but I'd love to help track this down. Can you send me a PM with your name and address?

Hello, ComcastKorie -- I don't receive notices that I've had a reply on the forums; that's why I've taken so long to reply. My apologies.

I don't know where to send a private message, so please give me more instructions. I don't see a chat "icon" near any "bell". I'll check back here for your reply as soon as I can. Thank you.

To send a private message:

  • Click "Sign In" if necessary
  • Click the "Peer to peer chat" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/peer-to-peer-chat
  • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
  • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
  •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
  • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  • Press Enter to send it

Add me to the growing list of Pixelation issues especially on Channel 10 and also channel 6 and 8. Usually starts just round 6:00pm at night and continues for the rest of the evening. I've done all the troubleshooting and nothing helps. I live in the Portland, Oregon area. This has been going on for months and months.
