Olympics USA 4K

New USA4K channels have shown up on my X1 (1362/63).  Their content matches the Olympics content on regular USA starting Friday Feb 6.  But, the 4K channels do not show the Olympic events on Feb 5, the first day of competition, even though they are on the regular USA program listings.  Does that mean 4K coverage of the Olympics doesn't start until the second day of competition?

BIslander I looked into your question about 4K coverage for the Olympics. The information available does not specifically state that 4K coverage begins on the second day of the event. What has been confirmed is that Xfinity is offering extensive Olympic coverage, including 24/7 programming in RealTime4K on the USA Network. This suggests that 4K content is available throughout the Games, but the exact timing of when all 4K coverage begins is not clearly outlined in the sources we have.

@XfinityPeterH  Thanks.  If you didn't see it, a few hours ago NBC announced the Super Bowl and Olympics coverage on Feb 8 will be in 4K on the NBC network and my X1 guide shows them airing on channels 1356/57, the usual NBC 4K channels rather than the new USA 4K channels.  That's great to see.  Was planning to watch the Super Bowl on Peacock to get 1080p HDR.  Now it'll be on NBC in 4K HDR.
