I am also having the same issue. The Weather Channel - NOT THE APP but the Channel - is no longer displaying Local on the 8s; all we are getting is the US Map and National Cities along the bottom of the screen. I want my local information back!
Hi @Bojack1! Are you still experiencing issues with the programming? This may have changed and we do recommend visiting that channels page directly to check where they have moved as this may sometimes happen with local programming. We are provided with the content and are not able to make any channel changes when it comes to local programming.

This started approximately about September 10,2025. On the TV program The Weather Channel we use to receive LOCAL on the 8's (18 minutes after the hour and 48 minutes after the hour) that would include specific local weather information. (Local radar, temperature and extended daily forecast) Now we get generic map on the United States split up into 3 areas (East,Central & West of United States. Weather Channel has not changed but Xfinity local weather input has disappeared. It was a very good feature to have during sever weather. Hope very much Xfinity can get it fixed soon.
Bojack1 I want to figure out why you're seeing general weather updates instead of your local weather data. Are you viewing The Weather Channel from a cable box in your home, a streaming app while connected to your in-home internet network, or while outside of your home?

Thank you for confirming, @Bojack1. Let's troubleshoot this issue further, as we may need to send a reset signal directly to your cable box. Please send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account. To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.

As other people have mention they are not receiving "Local on the 8's... I don't believe it has anything to do with my cable box or resetting the box. I will check with other people and ask them as well. Sure looks like this feature is no longer being supporting by Xfinity or having technical issues getting this going. Maybe ask one your technical engineers what the issue is. I do thank you for your investigation.
