NHL Center Ice 2019-20 Season
I tried calling the xfinity center to get NHL Center Ice for the season and was told to sign up for the Sports Entertainment Package (SEP) and it looks like I get the NHL Network but I can't tell if that includes NHL.TV or Center Ice.
How do I ensure I get Center Ice? for 2019-20 without missing the games? I'm frustrated with the puacity of data available...

Doesn't voice search work just like last year? If not, we found it between 1999 and 3101 on our line-up. It used to be one channel down from SD (channel down from 771 for us). We still don't have access through either of our boxes, though. Last night, I connected a chromebook to tv to watch the game since we have SD access on all our "streaming" devices. I was also able to record the game. Just can't watch it on the boxes thanks to an "entitlement" issue which I was able to deal with yesterday.
EDIT: Before I called, I did a second system reset. After that, the XRE-03121 disappeared, but so did my subscription. The first call ended up in getting correctly diagnosed within about 5 min and then the agent gave me a direct number to the agent who fixed the codes. His advice was to sign up through "billing" next year.

Chad, why is the MLB Beta channel still appearing on Center Ice channels now that baseball is in the playoffs. ? I use the Beta feature often.

WIsh I would have found this thread yesterday. I ordered CI through the chat feature online. I even asked about access to NHL.tv (half the reason I considered gettiing the package this year) and was told I would be receiving that as well. Sounds like that was pretty misinformed and now I'm trying to figure out what to do next.
Also, and this might be my fault for being impatient, I ordered this around 3p CST Friday. I am not getting the channels still and was told this wouldn't take effect until Monday. Ugh.

Hi @ComcastChad -
Any update on the channels being updated to HD in the grid guide?

I just tried ordering CI, but was told you now need to have an X1 box. This is a change from the past. I (happy) have a tivo with a cablecard and have no interest in getting an X1 box.
Is it really true that CI is now only available with an X1 box? That is ridiculous, and basically just means Comcast is going to lose out on my subscription revenue.
Any other options anyone can think of other than just going to NHL.tv through a roku or similar?

Thanks for the reply. I ordered it this morning, and agree it's pretty good. After having watching a few games/highlights, it does seem to stutter a bit (and it's in the recording not the stream, if you rewind and play it back it will stutter in the same place), which is a bit annoying, but hopefully it will improve.
On the flip side, I had a tech come out this morning about an unrelated problem, and after fixing that I mentioned the CI thing to him, and he said he had heard the same thing about the X1, but was pretty sure that was nonsense and that it would work fine without it, because it's just another encrypted channel in the lineup. But he didn't know for sure, and while he thought I could probably cancel it and get refunded if it didn't work, it would take a long time wrangling with billing and would be an annoyance. So for this year at least I'm just giving my money straight to the NHL instead of comcast I guess.

Have you tried saying "NHL Center Ice beta" into the remote? Does it bring up a screen like this?
From there, choose your team. It should take you to the beta. On our line-up, the beta settled back in at the bottom of the CI channels--the lowest being 771 with our channels. A channel down from the remote opens the beta "ghost" channel, but the remote call-up works the best. Also, once you get the beta, it will be in your recents/back line-up so you can just choose it, each time. HTH.
If this doesn't work, then you can always try the three spins. I reserve the handstand while breath-holding for calls to Comcast. Sometimes, I get to take a deep breath right away; other times, I turn the blue the agent is probably wishing for.

Thanks but the real issue I found was Comcast is too cheap to pay for HD for home Av games so I guess I get HD only on road games. Certainly not what I was promised when I subscribed.

Not true. Colorado Avalanche home games are not in HD ever. This is because of a contract dispute with Altitude Sports. That of course was not mentioned when I subscribed. ALL MEANS ALL. So now we get half our games in HD via Beta and half are unwatchable. So do we get half price?
