News Nation
Why is news nation no longer on my cable channel (1420) in HD? It is still available in standard definition?

I believe it has been moved to 1116 on my system, though you have to get there through the channel guide, rather than simply by typing in the number without the guide up. I'm not sure it has been properly associated with the set of Newsnation channels yet. I think the SD version is at 191 as well, though the HD version is obviously preferable.

This note was on my most recent bill. I have Digital Preferred. I just checked, and where I live News Nation is on channel 900 in HD. Check your bill to see if it has similar information.

NOOOOOO!
My screen now says it requires a subscription. Never did before.
For $200 plus every month, this better not be true.
Cord cutting is definitely happening if it is.
Can I trade out one of the bazillion sports channels I am forced to carry for this one measly news channel???

Why cant I get my News Nation Channel on 1420 or anywhere? Im paying for it!!! Get rid of a 100 other of my 125+ but don't get rid of News Nation. I will be cancelling my total TV subscription with xfinity if I can not watch my News Nation Channel or have to pay more to get it. The costs are already out of control on xfinity. This sucks!

Sometimes when a channel is moved, it may take a day or so for authorization servers to get updated. See if it works on the new channel. Otherwise, complain to NewsNation's owner, Nexstar. Many of these media companies have been sharply jacking up retransmission fees. Comcast either has to raise prices, move channels to higher tiers, or drop the channel. As more people cut the cord, it's only going to get worse as there are fewer and fewer people to pay these obscene fees.

Yesterday I spent the entire morning and half the afternoon trying to find someone that could explain what happened to News Nation. They kept telling me I couldn't have been watching it because I was not subscribed to it. I told them I knew I had watched and I wanted it back. After 2 tests to check my cable box one was an hour and one was 20 minutes. This had nothing to do with anything just to make me feel like they were helping me. Finally they told me it was on the Sports and News package that I was not subscribed to. If I wanted it that package would be $30 more. If you look up the packages News Nation is on the Entertainment package (which I have) not the Sports and News Package listings. I agree that I too would give up 100 plus channels gladly just to watch News Nation. Anyway I have it back and my cable bill went up $30 to get it. Next step is to cancel the Entertainment Package. It should be noted that NewsNation used to be WGN America.

Thank you for reaching out on the forums, @user_030627! I want to be clear about what you're looking for. I know that you are no longer seeing in HD, but are you able to still tune in to News Nation on the standard definition channel?

The employee post at https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/channels-and-programming/newsnation/64231225082c684cc32b0a4e?commentId=6425b737906b2274f777a44b suggests that the channel was dropped due to a contract dispute:

That reads as if whoever wrote that Update was confused:
and
How can you have an SD and an HD signal on the same channel #? Perhaps they were trying to say that the SD feed would be replaced by the HD feed?

We have it in HD on channel 900 on our X1 boxes but not in SD. We have two DTA boxes, and they get it in SD on channel 180. Not that it clears anything up...

FWIW, NewsNation is now part of the Sports & News Package and can be found on channel 1116. However, you may end up having to pay more for it. A caveat, though, this might depend on where you live, so check your billing statements for the most up-to-date news.
