Monumental Disaster

As an Xfinity customer paying $300/month for Internet and TV, a year ago I lost the ability to watch my local Hockey team when Comcast Sportsnet became Monumental.

I can watch every other freakin' team on earth through a myriad of other channels (USA, TNT, and all channels in the 3000 range), but the local team is purposely kept off-limit unless I add another $30/month premium to see them.

Before I switch to Verizon Fios -- tired of being abused by greedy <Edited: Inappropriate Language> -- can anyone tell me how I can fix that at no extra cost?

Hey @user_4dy8ch, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. It seems like you are inquiring about the Monumental Sports Network that was recently the broadcasting partner for the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics, and the Capital City Go-Gos.

In order to view the Monumental Sports Network, you would need our Xfinity Digital Preferred, Ultimate TV, or TV Premium channel line up to view the content. Depending on area, subscription, and more, this add-on or upgraded package can result in an increase of the monthly bill.

If you would like us to review the account to educate on the upgrade cost, please send us a Direct Message by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, clicking on the pen and paper icon, and then entering “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full first/last name and complete service address (Including the city, state, and zip code), and I'll be happy to help.
