MeTV Audio Synch to Picture issue

I have posted this particular issue in some other threads about MeTV not working but no one from Comcast has commented on it.

MANY threads about the problem with moving MeTV and it not working, for some places it seems to be working but several people have reported the same issue as me.

The audio is out of synch with the picture, about a quarter to half second behind. You see the lips move, then the dialog starts. The lips stop moving and the dialog continues.

This is not an "bad ADR from an old show issue" because if I load the same shows from PlutoTV they are fine with the audio synch.

Please reply to this if you are having the same problem and if you don't mind your approximate location (I am close to Winchester, VA).

I only watch two shows from MeTV (record them on the DVR) but it's still highly annoying to have the audio synch be off.

HI there, @Analogeezer, thank you for taking the time to post on our Xfinity Forums. I have experienced this issue a handful of times when watching TV and I understand it can be quite annoying! Please rest assure you have reached the right team for assistance. 

 

You stated you recorded shows from MeTV, are you experiencing the issue only with recorded shows or have you experienced this issue when watching live TV? Have you only seen the issue present on MeTV or has it occurred on other channels as well?

Both recorded versions of the shows on MeTV (channel 1048) and watching it live.

No other channels are affected by this.

This all started when MeTV on my network got moved from 1072 to 1048, as many reported it was not working (asking to sign up for a subscription), then it worked intermittently. Then we got audio but a scrambled/pixelated picture. A couple of days after that it worked but with the synch issue I am talking about.

I know it's Comcast, not the content because I can watch or load the exact same episodes from PlutoTV and there is not a synch problem.

Others here have reported this same synch issue, I decided to start a dedicated thread since my comments (and others) were buried in threads about the channel not working.

Will do, just be aware I am not the only one having this problem.

All the usual "fixes", system refreshes, rebooting my box have been done. My box has auto updated a good three or four times since I first reported the synch problem.

"Maybe" it's a problem on the MeTV broadcast end but I seriously doubt that as their over the air and other cable system customers would be complaining about it.
