KBS America (Channel 197)

Today we discovered that Channel 197, which was the KBS America Korean channel, is missing from the Xfinity line-up.  We have enjoyed this channel for many years and wanted to know what happened, and if it will be coming back.

I communicated with Xfinity Support through the Direct Messaging as indicated.  This is what they told me,

Noted on the last page of your May 5th billing statement it says, "TV Update: Effective June 25, 2025, KICU-KBS will no longer be available on Xfinity." We apologize for the inconvenience.

So, it looks like the KBS America on Channel 197 is gone.  They could not say whether it was coming back.

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or  https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it.

I too am looking for the KBS Channel 197.  It works in Concord CA but not in Walnut Creek CA.  What's going on?
