I want to sign up for cable but want to exclude fox news so I don't count as a subscriber for them
I want to sign up for cable but want to exclude Fox News so I don't count as a subscriber for them. I understand that you cannot choose and only pay for channels al a carte. To be clear, I am not asking to pay less for excluding Fox News, I am just asking to have them excluded so that I don't count as a subscriber for them.
I do wish I could sign up for channels al a carte because I am only interested in a few of them. Now that the Mariners in the playoffs I want to watch them, other live sports and a few other programs. But that is not the issue, I accept that I have to buy a whole package containing a bunch of channels I don't care about to get the ones I do.
The issue is Fox News makes the majority of their money not from advertising but from subscription fees. And those fees are based on the number of subscribers. I have long held the opinion that Fox News is negative influence on our politics and society as a whole. But Brian Kilmeade on air suggesting the solution to homelessness to kill them by lethal injection, and then Fox News does nothing to him, and he is still on air was the last straw. I cannot in good conscience sign up for something that puts my money in the pockets of the people propagating this. I would like to watch the baseball playoffs, so I am hoping there is a way to do it without financially supporting Fox News. But if there is not I will forego signing up for your service. I will never, ever again support any company or organization that puts money in the pockets of Fox News.

Just to let you know most networks negotiate subsciber fee for a lower number channel within your cable system or internal impulse commercial. By your logic it is ok for other networks like ABC , ESPN, MSNC( soon to be called MSNow) and others to promote hate and invoke violence by their employees of the respective network? All networks including Xfinity ( own by NBC) are guilty of this. ESPN also gets a higher subscriber fee than say TBN or QVC . There is no way Xfinity can control the subscriber fees they are in the business tomake a profit and will do anything for the bottom line. For
Going to other services like Sling or YouTube Tv. would not make a difference other .

Unfortunately, we can't offer "a la carte" options for most channels (excluding: premium channels and select On Demand offerings) at this time. However, you can block this or any other channel you don't want to see by using parental controls.
