Hi @user_4ae6d2 - I know our team was pushing through updates throughout the day. Would you mind trying again? The Nationals would be on channel 1261. If you're still not seeing coverage, please send me a DM so we can take a closer look at your account. Thank you!

WHY did some get an email from Comcast and SOME did not about this. Its been a horrible thing for we Wash DC locals to go through that we were not going to be able to watch them for free anymore . From what I have learned...its the only place in the nation that cut off free viewing of local MLB team. Outrageous!

Hi @TerriB, there were actually quite a few teams impacted by some regional channel contracts, in some areas those channels cease to even exist at this point. Xfinity struck a last minute deal to make sure most customers would not be impacted by the external factors. Other teams that faced a similar issue would be the Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Rays. There may have been some communication issues with the last minute notice, but I would recommend reviewing your communication preferences by checking out theUpdate your Xfinity account contact information and preferences online article.

Thanks for quick reply. Interesting about other markets...thanks for the info. I checked my communication settings and some have text and some have email as preferences so one way or the other I should have received the notification. I changed a couple of them just now to email but as I said....I should have gotten a text OR an email.  Very disappointing that I did not. I should be getting every single notice about everything the way my communication preferences are set up.

TerriB, it is good to see you! I am in the Seattle market, and we didn't know anything until a few hours before the game started that we would be able to watch it without going through an app. From watching the game last night, they are really trying to make this a better, newer experience. I say time will tell.
Here is what I found about your Washington Nationals: You should be able to watch the Nats play on channel 1261. If you're not able to access it, try restarting your TV box. If that doesn't work, we may need to refresh your account. It may also be that you need to swap your Xfinity Equipment or change your TV package if you don't have the Ultimate or Digital Preferred tier.

If you were to tune to channel 1261 right now, you would most likely see that it is off the air until about an hour before game time.

A while back they totally removed ch 25 (MASN2) from the local lineup and were forcing people in the local market to pay a lot to watch the Nationals play. Unheard of in America as far as I know. Such an awful thing to do BUT my friend got an email from them yesterday but I did NOT get it and I am not happy. Yes the channel mentioned below is available for FREE  to watch the NATs. This is all very strange that they did this at the last minute and did not send email to ALL local customers.  BOO HISS .

Your Nationals games are now on Nationals TV
This season, Nationals games previously shown on MASN2 are available to you on Nationals TV, HD channel 1261 — included with your Xfinity TV plan.
To find a game, just say "Washington Nationals" into your Xfinity Voice Remote. You can also watch on the Xfinity Stream app or at xfinity.com/stream.
Enjoy the season.
