how to turn off the voice that reads what is showing in the guide

We updated our box and remote.  Now whenever we go to the guide, the voice prompt starts reading the guide.  We want to turn that feature off.  How do we do that?

Deactivate Voice Guidance

  1. When you're done using Voice Guidance, simply tap the B key on your remote to open the Accessibility Settings screen again.
  2. Tap B again to reopen the On/Off menu. (You can also get here at any time just by holding down the voice control button and saying "Voice Guidance.")
  3. Press OK to turn Voice Guidance off.
X1 Guide: Voice Guidance screen with Turn Off Voice Guidance selected.

I am trying to deactivate voice commentary on my TV.  I pressed B on my XR2 remote but I never get the option of ACCESSIBILITY Settings.  Now what do I do?  How do I get that setting?

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/enable-video-description-on-x1 says to access Accessibility settings:

  • Press the Xfinity button on the remote to bring up the X1 main menu
  • Use the Xfinity button or the up/down arrows to highlight the Settings menu gear icon on the right-hand side
  • Press OK
  • In Settings, use the arrows keys to highlight Accessibility
  • Press OK.
