Hitz replacing Cinemax? Really?
You're replacing all of the Cinemax channels from packages with this on-demand Hitz garbage that has a "rotating list of more than 200 movie titles"?
And, of course, you're not lowering the price of our packages either. How do you really see Hitz as an equal replacement of Cinemax? We're losing six channels, all of Cinemax's original programming, and they currently have almost 300 movies on-demand.

They are all the same channel. Select any of them & they all contain the same content.

Makes sense! The repetitiion was one of the main reasons I got rid of Cinemax. Well, that and the fact Cinemax did not have any compelling TV series like HBO and Showtime.

For whatever reason, I still couldn't successfully put the $12/month Cinemax add-on in my cart this morning, so I ended up calling support. I removed a couple other services I wasn't using, so the change in cost was more or less a wash. It's still irritating to have Cinemax replaced by Hitz, but I seriously doubt that Comcast was going to listen to those of us who dislike a change that presumably impacts their bottom line in a positive way.

I couldn't agree more. I'm incredibly angry at Comcast. How can they do that? When I called Customer Service last night when I discovered that Cinemax is no longer on my TV, they claimed that Hitz has the "same movies" as Cinemax, which is absolutely untrue. They also said that the movies on Cinemax are already on HBO, which is also untrue. The movie Fight Club was on Cinemax and when I tried to watch it, it isn't on Hitz and the ONLY way I could watch it is either to buy it or subscribe to Cinemax (which I already believed to be subscribed to.) And the movie Hunter Killer, which is new, is only on Cinemax and NOT HBO. Am I able to get out of my contract with Comcast? Did they not violate our agreement when I signed up when I did have Cinemax?

Once again, I feel obligated to add another two cents worth of my opinion. I only access my TV programs and Premium content - on my actual TV thru the X-finity box only - and not on teeny tiney Computer and Phone screens. So being out of the "technology" loop of those born after 2000 - not sure what the other issues are in accessing with media other than an actual TV. That said, and at the risk of sounding truly stupid - what difference does it make in how many "channels" are available with Hitz vs. Cinemax? I assume all of you complaining have the "Premium" package or another similar package where On-Demand is available. I almost never watch these "channels" except for sometimes the one HBO HD channel on Saturdays when HBO puts on a new movie before they put it out ON-Demand. Most of these "channels" ya'll are all wining about are not HD channels anyway - at least in most regions of the country including mine. Why even watch these sub-channels in standard def when you can just as easily go out to ON-Demand and see the same thing in HD? Sorry, I guess my life is just easier than most of ya'lls. The real issue here that everyone should focus on is the amount and type of content being offered. Hitz has 254 movies (mostly "outdated" as some with limited interests will complain about) vs the 300 plus movies on Cinemax - which also has a good supply of "outdated" movies in thier catalogue as well - but has some really good movies from the past couple decades to the present which appeal to the tastes of those born after 2000. Cinemax has original content as well which Hitz does not. Although the original content on Cinemax is limited compared to HBO and does not appeal to my tastes - so no loss there for me. I agree that Hitz is not at all a fair swap for Cinemax. But it's not the end of the world. But ya'll need to focus on the content and not the number of "channels". "Channels" are so 20th Century.

Comcast, You have 2 days to return my cinemax channels, 9 in my market or you can guve me a 12 per month recurring credit because....
distant memory. Been with them since early 80s, even before the cable company was comcast, back in the days prism was a movie channel.
I Got my FIOS appointment in a couple days. Comcast will soon be
Anyway, FIOS has agreed to pay early termination fee, if any.
I don't think comcast should even try to force anyone to stay
How about I just arbitrarily change my contract term from 24 months to 10?
If comcast can change my contract, I can too.

read your contract. I have not read it in a while (yes, I read my contracts lol...I read everyting I sign, which provides for a fun outing every year when I get a new iPhone lmao). If I remember correctly there is a clause that you agreed to that says that Comcast has the right to change what channels are in your lineup at anytime with or without your consent.

I'll try again. Looks like my previous reply got deleted. Hmmmmm!
The real issue with dropping Cinemax is with those current subscribers via "Packages." I am on the Premier tv package which basically means I have all the Premium channels except the newer Epix. I had 9 Cinemax channels available to me with only one being in HD. Once Comcast added Hitz they felt that was a good enough subsitution to qualify for losing Cinemax. If Cinemax is simply a replication of other services than Hitz is even worse.
And to make matter worse Hitz is not even in Linear QAM. It's only available via On Demand. Now I understand the transition from QAM to IP tv.
And Cinemax didn't go anywhere. It's still offered as an additional package for an added fee. But remember the package I was on already included Cinemax. So what Comcast has done is removed a package from my service and now offers if back for a $$$ FEE $$$.

Makes sense if they ask first. Then drop it and reduce my monthly package rate.
Just swapping in some random new channel and continuing the same billing does not make sense.

FYI...I dont think that link you provided is for comcast hitz. Comcast spells it with Hitz not the hits in your link. Here is the link to comcast hitz https://www.xfinity.com/learn/digital-cable-tv/svod/hitz?pc=1

I assume this will get bumped, and I just found another thread full of Hitz complaints. But this is an update to the service, so on topic as far as I'm concerned.
I wonder if it can be paused...
So weak...
Can I record Hitz content?
Unfortunately, Hitz content cannot be recorded.
