Hbo max and peacock.

I’m stuck in a login loop for hbo max. I have hbo with my package. When I try to watch a movie on peacock it’s stuck in closed caption. Those are the apps that the Harry Potter movies are on.

For Peacock, you have to hit the down arrow key to get the timebar. The hit the left arrow until you highlight (in yellow) the text bubble. Hit OK and you can change CC options. If it already says NONE, try selecting something, let it save, then repeat and turn it off.

Otherwise, there is no global CC option for Peacock.

If you have an XG2v2, it has known issues with the latest Peacock app.

I finally logged into HBO max. I opened up the app on my iPad, which didn’t require me to login.  Then I used my iPad and did the code thing and I was able to login on the tv. Not sure, maybe  I need to delete cookies on my iPhone.  I still see the closed caption on Peacock, which is annoying. I don’t see a setting gear to change it and closed caption is off for my Xfinity box, so I’m not sure what goes on with Peacock.  I did notice somewhere on HBO max that the Harry Potter movies are leaving HBO max this month.  That’s a disappointment. I’m glad I have them on blue ray disc; you never know when Xfinity is going to give or take away anymore. I’ve learned my lesson with buying and downloading movies from Xfinity to watch anytime.  When cable is out, they’re not available to view.  I can still utilize my Sony blue ray sound system with my tv when cable is out.

@lkpolovchik  HBO or networks determine what programming they provide. Xfinity just supplies access to the channel. So they are not taking away Harry Potter, HBO is.
