GAC family

I’m in the Cape Coral/ fort Myers FL area and can’t find GAC family.  A commercial says it’s on 216 but it’s not. Can anyone help?

Hello everyone, and thank you for joining the conversation here on the Xfinity Support Forums. The Great American Country movie channel is available to subscribers who have a Starter, Extra TV package or Choice TV Entertainment Genre Pack.

This channel is available only as an Internet Protocol Network meaning customers must have HD service and a compatible X1 TV Box or use the Xfinity Stream App on a compatible third-party device to enjoy this network. This channel is not available for customers using a Legacy style cable system.

If you're having difficulties locating the channel, you can use your voice remote and say 'Great American Country Channel' and it will bring you right to it.

This information is updated as of August 19th, 2021 for customers in our western division.

Thank you for reaching out over Xfinity Forums @user_2e9e0e. Welcome to the community! I am sorry to hear you have had a hard time finding the channel you love. First, I suggest using this link to browse your local lineup https://comca.st/3E6DInw (in case it moved or changed names). If you are still not seeing it, I would be happy to take a closer look. Our team will be on standby if you still need assistance.

I no longer work for Comcast.

Xfinity clearly does not have the GAC Family Channel. I too live in the Cape Coral/Ft.Myers area. The link above is just a run around. Instead of helping the person responding does not understand the question. The GAC family used to be similar to CMT. Xfinity has the CMT channel but not the GAC channel. Will Xfinity be adding GAC which is supposed to now have 3 channels?

I too am looking. GAC Family is on 1620. But the Christmas movie isn't showing up on Oct.30th.

@Juliebo I don’t have 1620.  Mine goes from 1619 to 1622.

Hello @Juliebo, thank you for reaching out to us on our community forums. I dearly apologize, could you please clarify what you mean by the Christmas movie not showing up on October 30th?

@user_a531d2 do you have a cable card, if you do you will not be able to see channel 1620 as it is an IPTV only channel.

Effective August 24, 2021, ShopHQ (ch. 1046) will be available in HD IP.
Customers will need an IP-capable device (e.g., Xfinity X1) in order to view this
channel.
Beginning August 19, 2021, GAC will be moved from Digital Preferred & Preferred
+ to Digital Starter & Extra/Entertainment Genre Pack.
Effective August 24, 2021, GAC (channel 1620) will be available in HD IP.
Customers will need an IP-capable device (e.g., Xfinity X1) in order to view this
channel.

If you have a voice remote, have you tried saying for that network into the remote? If so, what does it do?

I no longer work for Comcast.

@XfinityAaron I do have the voice remote and nothing comes up.  Is this going to be added to the area?

I am in the same area and do not have the GAC channel on 1620 either. When will it be added?
