@user_694a03 Thank you so much for posting your question here. We sincerely apologize that you are experiencing issues with your voice remote when saying "Free Movies Week". We are aware of this issue and are working hard to resolve it as soon as possible. In the meantime, are you able to access the Free Movies Week tile in the On Demand section of your guide?

Thank you again for your post and your patience as we work to get this resolved.

Thank you for those details. Is there a specific HBO title you are unable to view?

If you click the "Xfinity" button on your remote, you should be able to click the down arrow to access the Free Movies Week On Demand tile where all the Free Movies Week content is available.

Hi, the same issue goes for me when trying to watch a Showtime movie, "Good Time" which is listed under the free movies. I either have to click Subscribe for $12/mo. or just exit out the screen. :(

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your Free Movies Week question here. Please remember that at this point, only select Showtime content is available. As mentioned by @XfinityAnthonyT earlier in this thread:

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your question here. We had an issue yesterday that was creating an error when customers said "Free Movies Week" into their Xfinity voice remote. Can you please try again and if you still have issues, are you able to access the Free Movies Week tile via the On Demand menu. As mentioned by @XfinityBrandon earlier in the thread, "if you click the "Xfinity" button on your remote, you should be able to click the down arrow to access the Free Movies Week On Demand tile where all the Free Movies Week content is available." Does this work for you?

Please let us know if you continue to experience issues.

I apologize for the confusion. When attempting to access Free Movie Week content are you doing so on X1, Flex or via Xfinity Stream? Can you also provide what type of remote you have (a list of remotes found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/remote-controls)?

If you have an Xfinity voice remote, have you tried saying "Free Movies Week"?

Free Movie Week is not working. When I go to one of the participating channels, it says I need to subscribe.  That is not free.

... When I go to one of the participating channels, it says I need to subscribe. ...

Typically free premium content is not available on the regular numbered channels. It's available On Demand and using the Streaming app and portal and the Flex device.

So the channels are not free? Just some movies from those channels? Is that correct?

For X1, just click on one of the banner ads for the free week. That leads to all the links. It's mix of movies and some TV shows I think.

That is correct, you would go to the On Demand feature and here you will find the amazing free content.

Why is not HBO MAX original programs like Titans, Peacemaker, Doom Patrol and Flight Attendant available during the free week?  Will they ever be available during a free TV week?  Thank you!

Welcome to the Xfinity Forum and thank you for posting your question here. When attempting to access HBO Max original programs are you doing so through the Free Movies Week On Demand tile? This is the only way to gain access to any of the Free Movies Week content. Also, please keep in mind that only select HBO Max titles are available during Free Movies Week.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Have HBO MAX original programs been free during previous free tv weeks?  My experience is that the answer is no.  I have checked the Titans and Doom Patrol during the last several free tv weeks and they were not free.

Thank you for your question here in the Xfinity Forum. During past events, like with this one, we pass along any content made available to use from the content provider. Please know that during this year's Free Movie Week only select content from HBO Max will be available.

HBO MAX original programs like Titans, Peacemaker, Doom Patrol and Flight Attendant available during the free week?

During Free Movie Week we worked with content providers to make as many movies available to our customers as possible. We have other events like this throughout the year where other movies and television shows will be made available for free. Unfortunately, we do not have information about what will be available during those events but we will be sure to share that here in our Xfinity Forum once they happen. I think Watchathon usually happens in the next few months so keep an eye out for that.

I’m an xfinity flex customer, I’m currently in the Free Movies Week tile and only some of the movies are accessible. I understand there are different availability dates within this promotion window for the Starz titles, but is there a similar available date structure for HBO and Epix? None of the HBO or Epix titles I’ve tried to watch have worked. Thank you for your help

At first I tried Jurassic Park, The Conjuring The Devil Made Me Do It, and Pacific Rim, both took me to a screen prompting me to subscribe to the service. I tried some more HBO titles at random and the same thing happened. Same with the Epix titles (Jacob’s ladder, the Rift, etc)

There are only 21 minutes available from the movie the day the earth stood still and then it stops. It wants to subscribe to HBO Max. I thought it was supposed to be a free movie.

@XfinityJessie I have the exact same iss with “The Day the Earth Stood Still” on HBO. At 21 minutes the movie stops and returns to the movie intro page with the option to “Resum”. Press resume and it start and then immediately suspends again with the same result.

It's hard to navigate to what I'd really like to see via the Free Movies Week site.  Also, many of the films are a lot older than 2021.  Why not put together just the latest films in one section instead of having us scroll down through hundreds and hundreds of movies?  Also, it's such a tease to have "West Side Story" there and then see that it was the 1961 version after clicking on the icon.  There has to be an easier, better way to find films of interest to me, i.e. no Marvel comics, horror, lame comedies, etc.!

@user_19193f I have been trying to watch The Many Saints of Newark for 2 days. It just takes me to the sign In page though. I wish someone from Xfinity would give a clear answer about HBO Max.

I agree with you. Xfinity should come out with a clear and accurate answer rather than repeat the same information. Too many of us are experiencing this issue. I am a flex customer and any movie I access on hbomax it says free but HBO takes me to their sign in screen. It's not about navigating to the free movie tile I think we all understand how to do that. It is about hbo.max requiring a sign in in Xfinity can get this fixed sooner than later if they desired. Very disappointed in them. Better not to promise then to promise and not deliver. Dissatisfied customer.
