Fox Sports 2

As a NASCAR fan, I was afraid that I would not be able to see the same racing events that I used to see on Speed when they rebranded the channel this past weekend.  I was just proven correct.  I now won't be able to see the Whelan Modified race that is airing on FoxSports 2 from Bristol tonight as Comcast doesn't have Fox Sports 2 in the channel lineup.  I was able to watch it last year when it was on Speed.

I strongly encourage Comcast to rectify this situation and add Fox Sports 2 to the lineup.  If I can't watch the things I want to watch because the channel isn't available, then I'm going to look for a cable provider who can provide it.

Paying $200 and not to have this channel that's showcases LIVE events in which get highest ratings is a shame. I strongly recommend adding this.

What bothers me about all this is Comcast's refusal to let us know why these channels aren't available. (I also want MAVTV).  There has been speculation the reason that ATT Uverse have been showing Darts instead of NASCAR is that FOX bumped up their rates above the agreed rate for NASCAR and Basketball, claiming they were additions to the lineup.  Personally I wouldn’t mind them putting these channels into an enhance sports package where if we want them, we pay extra.  I’m willing to pay extra for the channels.  Just make them available.  If they don’t, I will pay Dish for them.

Not sure what the idea was with Ted's editing job.  Why did he pick the 31st post on a thread that is 1002 posts long to edit and repost?  Maybe he's just getting bored, knowing that Comcast is never going to give it's customers what they want; I mean, lets get real here...Comcast giving customers what they want?  No, it doen't work like that.  It's our duty as customers to take whatever Comcast can find cheap enough to shovel off to us, so they can justify charging us two hundred dollars plus a month just so we can see our local baseball team, and Game of Thrones.  Then we can say "thank you, may I have another........"

FOX won't allow Comcast to do that.

Then Fox can stuff them

both. The only reason I watch FS1 is NASCAR. The time has come where customers should be able to alacart their cable. I know MAVTV allows it because Dish has it in a sportsman package. The games Fox it playing with UVerse is total BS. Interesting to see when NASCAR switches to NBC sports, the games Comcast will play with other providers.

I edited the title of that post about a year ago (5/1/2014) so that the topic would be easier for all to find.

Also, I "stickied" this thread (floated it to the top of this page in 2014 sometime) so it would be easier for all to locate, find and post.

Thanks for your continued feedback.

So, Mr. COmcastTed, can you explain why in Comcast's annoucment, made back in Aug of 2013 that BOTH Fox Sports 1 AND Fox Sports 2 were coming to our lineup when SPEED went away?  We've now been waiting for over 18 months and we are no closer now than we were.

so, was COMCAST lying back in Aug. of 2013 when they said both were coming?

Apologies. I gave some general responses as to why this channel is not available in all areas in this thread a few times.

At the risk of repeating, I can do so again for any newcomers to this topic:

We certainly realize that anything short of a post that says "Comcast is adding Fox Sports 2 in all areas on this date and your monthly cable bill won't go up" will not be a satisfactory answer for most.

Unfortunately, we don't have an expected date for an announcement for the Fox Sports 2 in additional Comcast areas. We do offer Fox Sports 2 in some areas.

I do know that our programming teams meet regularly with Fox on this and other topics. The conversations are ongoing.

Any possible addition of any new network would also most likely incur additional costs to Comcast that would be passed along to our customers. As mentioned above, those additional costs are one of the factors in considering adding any new network.

Generally, new networks want to be added to a very widely distributed level of service for the potential of the most eyeballs (ratings) and advertising revenue. That means that the costs are then spread across all of our customers who receive this channel, not just to those who want to pay individually for that specific service or a Sports Package.

The Comcast employees who participate in these forums certainly pass along any collective feedback, interests and concerns to our programming teams. Apologies if I did not state that previously.

Its sad I guess some day Comcast will eventually offer FS2 but it sounds like it will be like the rest , in order to get 1 channel you want you will also have to pay for 25 ya dont want in the least .

Mike,

Pay NO attention to the mirrors & smoke, nor the voice from behind the curtain!!!!

The "company line", better known as Bovine Scatology will soon be regurgitated.

The ONLY thing that Comcast will pay attention to is the sounds of exiting customers. Until the vast majority of people that wants FS2 "grows some" & votes with there subscriptions, you will take your poundings & love it!!!!  Some of us are locked into contracts BUT those of you that are not, should be looking to another provider that will give you the service desired. It should be crystal clear to even a blind man that Comcast has no desire to do anything but dominate the market & pay no attention to their subscribers. Self evident with their national customer ratings in the past SEVERAL years. They've managed to have a strangle hold on "Last Place" . Do not call Customer No Service & complain as they have shown on several occasions that they will do "not so nice things" to your account name, if you are labeled a complainer!!!!  These are just the facts & not my opinion.

Yep, we always get these channels nobody wants like "Al-Gore-Zera".

i learned long ago to not contact customer service.  You get nowhere.  There is a reason why they are in last place.  They seem to be proud of that ranking since they don't seem to be in any hurry at all to provide the channel that they themselves promised 18+ months ago.
