Flyers games in the 17349

Starting 2/21, you tell me how to keep watching the Flyers from the 17349 in York County PENNSYLVANIA on Xfinity...????

How come I have High Def channels dedicated to the Capitals AND the Penguins on my TV, but not Philadelphia???

NHL Center Ice is BLACKED OUT for the FLYERS in my area...

It was on NBC sports network channel 848 in HD here in The Lancaster Pa market. I would think it would have been the same  (maybe a different channel number) across the river in York County. Friends in York County watched it on Xfinity.

Jut to add NBC Sports Philadelphia has alot of Flyers and 76's  games not on networks. Channel 847. My parents get it in even York Co.

Unfortunately Comcast Philadelphia sports channel isn’t commentating the flyers games anymore. Last season I watched the last broadcast and they said they won’t be doing them anymore. Lame. That was the best way to watch the games. Hopefully it changes moving forward. These mainstream channels aren’t nearly as good as Comcast sports was.

The Flyers schedule on the NBC Sports Philadelphia website says that the NBC Sports Philadelphia (what used to be Comcast Sportsnet Philadelphia) will be airing most of the Flyers games, starting with yesterday's (1/15) game against the Penguins.

@Phillygirl22  NBC Sports Philadelphia (old Comcast SportsNet as said) is on 847. NBC Sports Network is on 848 at least in Lancaster Co lineup.

Have you found a solution for this? I’m in the same boat (17349). I technically get NBC sport philly but they don’t air the flyers games and my center ice is blacked out for their games.

What channel is NBC Sports Philly on where you live? Apparently, there are two channel lineups for your Zip code; one has it on channel 34, and the other has it on channel 6. It looks like Comcast thinks the one with it on channel 6 is in the Washington Capitols zone rather than the Flyers zone for some strange reason.

Channel 6 is listed as NBC sports philly. Channel 27 is NBC sports Washington. Channel 34 is USA network. I wish they would just either show the game on my philly sports channel or unblock the center ice channel since I don’t seem to get the broadcasts for it.

The flyers game on tonight is on Comcast sports Philly channel 847 HD and the sixers are on Comcast sports Philly plus on 856 HD.  I am in Lancaster Co and I believe OP is in York Co across the river but is in the southern part that may go to Baltimore region. I believe the low channels are SD.

I am in the Columbia Pa area 17512.

Can you do a few things to help me (and anybody else reading this thread) clear up some things?

Which of these three games are you able to watch live:
Tonight, Channel 27, 7:00 - NBA Brooklyn vs Washington
Tonight, Channel 6, 7:00 - NBA Philadelphia vs Indiana
Monday, Channel 27, 7:00 - NHL Bruins-Capitals

That way, I can tell if Comcast thinks you live in the DC "region" for both the NBA and NHL.

It looks like you are getting something called "NBC Sports Philly Plus," which I assume is the channel they use when there are two games on at the same time - for example, tonight the Flyers and 76ers have games on at the same time, so "regular" NBC Sports Philadelphia, which you don't get for some reason, is showing the Flyers game, while the "plus" channel, which you get on channel 6, is showing the 76ers game. It does seem strange that you get the Plus channel but not the regular one.

@CCAndrew, can you help this person out? Apparently, this person is in southern Pennsylvania, but is getting service from somewhere that Comcast thinks is in northern Maryland.

There appear to be two different sets of Comcast services in Zip code 17349, at least according to Titan TV - York County and something called High Rock, which I think is in northern Maryland somewhere. The original poster's description of channel numbers indicates a High Rock-supplied home, which does not have NBC Sports Philadelphia (but does have its Plus channel, for some strange reason).

High Rock is in Southern York County. There are 3 Comcast systems for York County, one for the City of York, one for York County, and one for Hanover. By my check, all have the same listings for NBC Sports Washington and NBC Sports Philadelphia. These channel numbers should be active:

NBC Sports Washington HD: channel 846

NBC Sports Philadelphia HD: channel 847
NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus HD: channel 856
NBC Sports Washington Plus HD: SD only

Note that for technical purposes, York County is in-market for both NBC Sports Washington and NBC Sports Philadelphia. Very few Comcast systems carry both of them. The York County ones are the only ones who do. Here in Harrisburg, our systems only get Philadelphia, not Washington. As you get to the Carlisle and Chambersburg systems, they get Washington only, not Philadelphia.

Both NBC Sports Washington and NBC Sports Philadelphia have Plus feeds for NBA/NHL conflicts when both teams are scheduled at the same time.

There are some areas where specifically for the NBA and NHL, even if both feeds are carried, blackouts occur on the Philadelphia end. But there isn't anywhere in York County that should be blacked out of Philadelphia 76ers or Flyers games. Capitals and Wizards games may be a different story. This reverses to the west, where the 76ers/Flyers can be blocked instead of the Capitals/Wizards.

"Should be." Somebody tell Titan TV that; the "Comcast - High Rock" listings for Zip code 17349 do not include channel 847 (or 856, for that matter), but do include 846.

The problem here appears to be, the NHL says that the original poster lives in the Flyers zone, so NHL.com can't show Flyers games there, but Comcast isn't including NBC Sports Philadelphia there.

I meant to say NBC Sport Philadelphia instead of the old name Comcast Sports Philadelphia if that added to any confusion but same channels.
