Will there be an extra chage on my bill for DiscoverPlus. My current plan gets all the programs mentioned in Discover plus advertising

I was waiting to see what happened with the programs I watch, Travel channel has moved ALL of my favorite programs to Discovery+. Why should we pay for cable  to watch reruns of shows we've seen? All of the shows they say are new have been really old versions renamed as new. I think xfinity should have some clout with the Discovery network stations. You have many very unhappy customers.  Will the shows they moved come to the Travel channel at a later date or are we just out of luck.  We are currently trying to decide if cable is still right for us or to go with strictly a streaming type service to get what we want. If Xfinity doesn't look into this issue and have your customers back . We are retired and trying to find places to cut in our budget so $240 a month cable bill is starting to look like it is going obsolete and streaming is the new way to go. Fight for your customers (40 years we have been with you) don't let the channels you sell as a package become rerun channels no one wants to view, or drop them and lower your prices.

But Comcast does control what they charge their customers. Even if it is discovery’s fault there is less content for cable users Comcast could lower the bills because of it since it’s not our fault either.

I know u all posted about this 3 months ago I have been waiting for  Discovery+ to come to Xfinity.  If you say Discovery+ into your voice remote it has a message on there that u can sign  up for notifications through Xfinity to get a text/message from them when its available I was so pissed that Ghost Adventures is no longer on Travel channel and have been patiently waiting.  So FYI for any of you waiting patiently

This is one rip off.  i use to enjoy watching Chip and Joanna and the discovery channels and tlc etc, now I have to pay more for what I am already paying for.  Do these people not have enough money that they are so greedy to use us!!!  Xfinity needs to compensate people for this, and I hope people refuse to get Discovery plus.  This is one greedy act on them!!!

This is sick!!  Will we get a refund from xfinity for what we already pay for?  I use to enjoy Chip and Joanna and loved the tlc station but refuse to pay more for greedy people who want more money and take advantage from customers.  I am banning Discovery plus and demand a refund from xfinity for what have have given me for what I paid for.  This is one sick greedy way to use people.  I hope you ban them also and demand a refund with your provider.

Good luck with that refund as Discovery Plus is a seperat streaming service and has nothing to do with Xfinity.

When I say Discovery Plus into my voice remote, it comes up with a banner for it and says it’ll be available soon. Right now I just plug my laptop into my tv and watch my D+ programs that way. Definitely looking forward to when the app is added to x1. I was extremely surprised that Disney+ popped up first cause when I would say that into my voice remote, nothing would come up. Same with Paramount+ too, but hey I’m grateful with how many apps have been incorporated with xfinity already. Seems like more of those free ones pop up all the time.

Once Discovery starts dropping their tv channels in favor of Discovery+, Comcast will be getting many calls for refunds etc.

They just provide the networks, not the shows that the network chooses, Nothing has changed from current line up.  Just some shows added but most are on both,  not unlike other networks.  Just the fact that some do not like the shows others may.

Things change. You can pick a cheaper package that does not have discovery if you wish to save but probably will lose some you like.

There are zero networks that run new content 24/7/365, so how could packages include such a thing. Sorry the argument you make doesn’t hold water. Let Discovery know how you feel, it’s their decisions

Gold Rush has been new, Deadliest catch will be new as with other shows who are in season as others. Not sure why you keep saying the are no new shows. You need to look at the normal time slot of the series.
