Comcast dumping WGAL again

Once again, Comcast is dumping WGAL on June 7. (NBC affiliate in Lancaster PA) for those viewers in Berks county. They tried to do this last November but backed off. No email notice this time, just a note in my latest bill.

Berks county is a tweener between Philly and the Harrisburg-Lancaster markets. Perhaps they won't do it like November. In Lancaster I have some Philly channels in SD but Network shows are blacked out.

@dcfox

On Nov 20, 2020 Xfinity sent an email entitled "Changes to your Xfinity TV services" saying some local programming

will no longer be available on Dec 20,2020. This meant no more WGAL for Berks county residents.

Then they did an about face with a new email dated Dec 15,2020 "Good news about your local stations" saying

"we're happy to share that we have reached an agreement to continue to offer those stations"

The latest is not an email but a note in my latest bill which says "Xfinity TV Update: On June 7, 2021, WGAL (NBC) will no longer be available"

I have been a loyal Comcast/Xfinity/Time Warner/Berks Cable customer for more than 25 years. This is just too much for me. Lancaster, the home of WGAL, is less than 40 miles from Reading where I am. Philadelphia is over 60 miles away. I have watched WGAL almost every day

and not just for the news . Sigh
