Chicago Sports Network

I am EXTREMELY unhappy that Xfinity is not going to carry CHSN Chicago Sports Network. One of the reasons I continue to keep cable is because I can see the Chicago Blackhawks play.  You need to make a deal with the Network as I have been on the fence for some time now to cut the cord.

I already put an antenna up. I’m just keeping internet. I’m getting more local channels now than Xfinity carries. It’s not worth keeping tv service any longer.

no not at all. I put a long range directional antenna in my attic and aimed it with an app on my phone. Put in a few drops And had all the Chicago ota channels. It all depends and how far you live from the transmitters. I think it’s Willis tower and Hancock in the city. I’ve been wanting to cut the cord for a while, but I have been searching for streaming that has all the channels I want. now I’ve got Hulu live, OTA, and Marquee streaming.

I just attached indoor antenna, it did bring in channel 62.2 and 62.3 but no picture just audio what's the deal channel has a picture and audio but its not sports

I too am extremely aggravated at Comcast, for what we pay for their TV service, that they’re not even covering CHSN Broadcast from the beginning, including the Blackhawks, playing the new Utah hockey club!  Comcast doesn’t care about its customer base. The only thing they care about is their money.  It’s probably time to consider Verizon.  I use Verizon for my cell phone and only needed something to move me over to them for TV Broadcasting.

Reinsdorf is so greedy he is trying to eliminate any Fandom for Chicago sports teams he is associated with. He did this years ago with the White Sox and it nearly killed the franchise. The thing I can't believe is Rocky Wirtz let himself get tucked into the vortex of greed. The Blackhawks have been in the dumps for a few years and now he is limiting the number of fans that can see games. They have no appreciation for fans only $$$$$$. And Reinsdorf thinks the state will build him a multi billion dollar stadium? Puhleeez!

Why is Xfinity not issuing a $20 credit and or discounting my monthly bill from now on for not having NBC Sports Chicago? I believe that's what they were charging me monthly for that channel. That's bad business. Greed. I'm seriously looking for an alternative to Xfinity.

I can only get audio no video on 62.2 and 62.3. 62.1 is fine and I get audio and video from all other channels. What gives?

I’m running into the same issue. I guess there are newer ATSC specs some stations are using. Newer TV’s work fine, older ones can’t tune the channel. You can get an external ota tuner from Amazon or Best Buy probably fairly cheap. I’ve just got a Linux laptop with a usb Hauppauge tuner adapter running kaffeine. Gets every channel. 2 tv’s working, 2 not and 2left to test.

today tried my indoor antenna on another tv, and finally I can get video on 62.2 and 62.3, read on you-tube my tv may have been too old, newer tv it worked!  watched the replay of game on 62.2 today and was good game even though hawks lost!

Only reason I keep cable vs streaming is local sports and WGN news.  This will be a fatal step for Xfinity for many.

You and me both. This will be the last straw with me and Comcast. Bulls won a thriller last night in preseason. I would have loved to have watched it. It’s not going to happen in the regular season because I won’t be a customer anymore if they don’t get this shit done

Comcast is trying to get this on the same tier as Marquis.

Extra money for them.

But trying to take a channel(s) that are FREE over the air and charge a tier upgrade is VERY greedy.

Cash grab.  I already pay for the NHL NBL NFL MLB channels in that tier so I would get it anyway.

But again it is WRONG to make people upgrade to get a channel that is FREE over the air.

KEEP IT PART OF BASIC.

Do good by your customers for once,
