Channel 16

When will Xfinity begin carrying Channel 16 in the SLC area.  I want to watch the Utah Mammoth games and I can't believe that this local channel is not part of the Xfinity channel lineup.

I did some checking for you, and the Sportsnet Rocky Mountain (formerly known as AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain) is ceasing operations at 11:59:59 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) on December 31, 2023. This network won't be available through Comcast or any cable or satellite provider. You can tune into other broadcast channels available with your Xfinity package. You can also say "sports" into your Xfinity Voice remote to explore all sports catergorized by sports and league, live events, sports shows and upcoming events.

@ThatDonGuy​ Yes.  @thatdonguy is correct.  I want to watch the Utah Mammoth games that are broadcast on KUPX.

Xfinity does not carry KUPX in Salt Lake City. I am sorry about that. Alternatives would be to use an over-the-air antenna, and there are a few streaming apps that offer it as well. We do appreciate your feedback.

@XfinityAngie​ I live an Ogden and an over the air antenna does not work.  I pay a lot of money for monthly tv service to include local channels.  It's shocking that I now have to pay for another service to get a local channel that should be carried by xfinity.

@user_d060a9 As of right now we do not have a contract agreement to carry their content. We are always looking to provide as much as we can but also need to come to a fair agreement to both parties to avoid raising the cost of cable more to carry it. As of now you can access Utah 16 via digital antenna, live-streaming TV providers such as Fubo or the team’s on UtahHC+ streaming platform.

That's extremely disappointing that I pay a lot of money for cable tv and an over the air television channel isn't offered as part of my service.
