Cartoon Network - [Edited] Comcast?

Number one, I want Fox News removed from my channel line-up and Cartoon Network put back in it's place. This is absolute [Edited: "Language"]. I don't watch sports. I don't watch lying propaganda channels like Fox News either. So why should we have to pay for it when an actual good channel gets removed? I don't care for other "entertainment" in your [Edited: "Language"] package either. I want my Cartoon Network and Adult Swim shows back or we can cancel our subscription altogether. I mean does anyone really need cable tv anymore? The only reason we kept the cable is because there's like four channels we watch on a regular basis and Cartoon Network was one of them. In a time where inflation is going up everywhere; it is not surprising that Comcast decides to pull this greedy move and make people pay $10 extra a month for ONE channel that should be available in their 180+ channel line-up. I suggest everyone cancels their subscription until they decide to get their heads out of their arses.

And no I do not want to subscribe to HBO Max. Or any other streaming service. This is why I have cable in the first place. The channel that plays the stuff we like was already apart of the line-up.

Fully Agree. I'm a 20+ year customer who pays over 300 a month for a service that is being downgraded every year.

The package I have is said to include ALL the channels 260+....first they took away the movie channels and replaced with MGM+ which is awful ( the same 1980's movie is often playing on 2 or more channels)

Now, they take away the cartoon network and bundle it with sports channels.....SPORTS?......freakin SPORTS! How are those even related? What idiot came up with this idea?

I hate ESPN and I'm starting to really dislike Comcast.

I now have Full fiber to my neighborhood. I think I'll chat with them about switching....

I also have many friends who now use other services for TV and I'm about to join them.

I am also a 20+ year subscriber with a big bill for Internet and streaming and I would happily give up about 50 channels I *never* watch. Cartoon Network / Adult Swim is NOT on that list.

Xfinity, this was a moron play. I've been looking for reasons to leave you. [Edited: Soliciting]

How about think about the consumer instead of always making it about a money grab. Why the heck move Cartoon Network? Because it is popular and you think it will cause more people to pay more to add it on. How about do something for the customer and make it a nice reliable service. Please move Cartoon Network back to the package it was on. And end this ridiculous scam for money.

Happy to see I’m not the only one. This [Edited: "Language"] I would have Cartoon Network on more than almost any channel. 200 channels of [Edited: "Language"] and maybe 10 channels I watch.

This is the 2nd time they did this with cartoon network.  A few years ago, Id say around 2017-2018 they moved it up to the Ultimate package and made me upgrade to keep it.  Now they did it again.  [Edited: "Language"] I only watch 3 or 4 channels of all the ones I pay for and cartoon network is one of them.  I have their absolute top tier channel line up and way overpay, now they want more?  They should just raise the bill rather than make you have to sign up for it.

It makes no sense why Xfinity had it in the highest tier (and now as an add on)   - I am looking at dumping Xfinity and see that most of the streaming alternatives have Cartoon network in their LOWEST tier / cost offering.

I agree 100%, I watch cartoon network discovery channel science channel fxhd and hystory channel. That's it don't give [Edited: "Language"] about sports and I already gave Hulu max and Netflix, therefore keep your entertainment. I'm calling tomorrow to cancel. 26 years with comcast/xfinity to get kicked [Edited: "Language"] for $250 a month🖕

[Edited: "Inflammatory"] I hav been with them since they were Cox Cable.  They don't care about their customers.  Why in the world would I subscribe to a sport package for Cartoon Network?  I don't even watch sports.  This is ridiculous. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

Good morning goldengirl26. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns with us on our Xfinity forums. I'm so sorry about this change and I feel the same way with losing access to the Cartoon Network channel. That network offers some of my favorite cartoons that I grew up with and really helps me find a happy place. I wish I had a way to bring the network back for us and make sure we don't have to add anything extra. With previous channel changes one option that helped out on occasion was changing the current lineup to fewer channels, most we don't watch, and adding the package that includes the channels that we do love. The cost difference usually balanced out since I was losing some channels with downgrading, but added the channels I lost.

I understand that HBOMAX is not an option, but checking out the different channel options may be a place to start.

Would you like me to review that for your account?

This is [Edited: Language]. I want Cartoon Network back. I don't even watch sports. We shouldn't have to pay extra for something that was free to begin with. [Edited: Language].

You would think they would want to do everything they can to not [Edited: Language] their loyal customers that have kept their over priced cable packages when many have dropped them in favor of using streaming services, but it seems like they would rather give everyone 2 middle fingers instead. I’ve been debating canceling my service for a while now and I think this just pushed me over the edge. Thankfully fiber internet service is available in my area now so I’ll be switching to that as well. [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

@user_xr9cm5, our teams do all that is possible to balance the cost of programming across the board. Many factors are considered in these decisions, and changes like this allow customers to make a choice. In years past, many customers were frustrated because they felt as if they were paying higher cost for many channels that they did not watch on a consistent basis. With the changes that we have made around channel lineups we are opting to give customers more control over their plans, but with feedback from customers we can always make adjustments. I always recommend submitting any feedback that you have positive or negative to the Send Tom Feedback form.

This is just a completely rediculous move. The sports package.... Really? At least make some effort to hide the money grab! I have the 180+ package and most of the programming you offer is such drivel that CN was almost the only thing I watch. In fact it was pretty much the only thing keeping me from cutting video completely and just going data only... But now I think a competitor deserves my data subscription more.

An absolute trash move from what has turned into a trash company.

Like you.. One of the main reasons we kept paying is because we had Cartoon Network..

I pay way too much to watch the maybe 4 channels I watch..

So yep.. I’ll be looking to downgrade all my services.. [Edited: Language]
