Cannot stream local channels out of network
I recently moved back to my summer trailer on a lake in northern MN. I have a Xfinity tv contract in Minneapolis/St Paul. I want to stream the tv using a Fire TV stick. Everything works except I cannot stream my local network channels. I updated the Fire TV software and reinstalled the Xfinity stream app. I also authenticated my account and the device. I still doesn’t work.
However, it works perfectly when I stream on my iPhone.
This makes me believe the Fire TV app is not recognizing my account home location. The Xfinity web site specifically says those channels are available out of network.
Any suggestions? Of course Xfinity won’t admit it’s their problem.
