Cable Card support

Good afternoon.  My cable card in my Ceton tuner loses its entitlement approx. once a year. I tried calling support and they rebooted my X1 Cable Box and asked me to wait an hour which did not resolve anything.  They want to send me a new cable box.  Everything I read online says if they remove my cable card from my account, I can never re-add it so I politely declined that option.  She did not understand how my cable card functioned.  Normally someone in the Cable card support or Advanced support knows how to resend the entitlement signal to my cable card.  It normally takes a few seconds.  Some techs have called it sending a refresh signal.  Can someone please send the refresh signal to my cable card?  I can provide my cable card serial # and host id.

Tthank you for providing those details, and meeting us here in our community, @Drew.C. I understand your concern, especially since this is an issue you've experienced before, and you've already spoken with support without seeing a resolution.


Based on what you've described, it sounds like your CableCARD may have lost its authorization/entitlements and may need a refresh or reauthorization signal sent to it. I appreciate you explaining how your Ceton tuner is configured and why you're hesitant to remove the CableCARD from the account. Have you tried activating it on your end here: https://cablecardactivation.xsp.comcast.net/? Please let us know if you're successful.
