Hi there! We completely understand why you’re asking, especially with ABC being such a popular channel.

At the moment, ABC programming isn’t available through Xfinity due to ongoing negotiations with E. W. Scripps Company.

They’ve declined our current offers and are requesting significantly higher rates, which would directly impact our customers’ monthly bills. Because of that, we haven’t been able to reach an agreement yet.

In the meantime, if you’re looking to continue watching ABC content, you may want to check out streaming options like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or fuboTV, which often carry ABC depending on your area.

We know this isn’t ideal, and we truly appreciate your patience while this is being worked through. If anything changes, we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated.

I watch ABC and WXYZ the most. If it’s not restored soon I will be changing carriers

You say Scripps asked for an amount that would significantly impact our bill. Tell us how much, let us make that decision. Is it more than the price of a Hulu subscription?

I totally agree. I would like to know the price of Hulu vs. the increase you would charge to accommodate Scripps. You made concessions in the Miami area to keep abc programming. The same concessions should be made for those of us in Central Florida and other affected areas.

I pay 323.00 a month for Xfinity.  Today I am cancelling them.  I will be going with Hulu and Disney plus.  I will be saving 80.00 a month.

What Xfinity has done is totally ridiculous.  I will no longer carry them for TV.  I think everyone should go with a different provider.

how much will our accounts be credited since we no longer have ABC?

I expect a reduced bill for a lost channel or you can expect me canceling my service, as I do not believe the story you’re using right now.

Since we can't watch ABC, infinity should be lower the prices they charge for channels, which were known as basic channels.

Hi there @user_p9bu57. Hi there and welcome to Comcast. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your concerns of lowering your bill.

Will I get any kind of credit/discount or will the cost of my bill decrease because of this?
Not at this time. If a new agreement with E. W. Scripps, the owner of these broadcast stations is not reached, the impact on current or future charges will be evaluated.

You can assist by adjusting our bills for the lack of access to these channels. Comcast is always in negotiations to "lower prices" but our bills keep increasing with  less access. I expect my bill to be prorated for the services I'm NOT receiving but paying for.
