Reactivated account, First bill, More charge

Hey @XfinityJanelle , I have problems with my billing. I reactivated my account to have internet but my bill statement was originally $36, but it has gone up to between $125-215. What seems to be the problem? I had an account 4 years ago.

@gilbertol816 welcome back and thank you for reaching out for help with your bill. Sometimes bills when reactivating can have prorated amounts, reactivation fees and any past due balance. That said we are happy to review your accounts billing and make sure everything is correct. For that we will have to ask you personal information so please send us a direct message with your full name and complete address.

(Full credit to @BruceW for this excellent explanation!)

"Search for Xfinity Support" won't work. To send a "Direct Messaging" message to Xfinity Support:

 • Click "Sign In" if necessary

 • Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

 • Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

 • The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

 •  - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

 •  - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

 • Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

 • Press Enter to send it

See this for an example.

gilbertol816 you would just send to the primary account, Peter works earlier in the mornings, it would just depend on who is working when you would send the message. The way our system works is it would just route your message to anyone of our group to help you.
