NOW TV - added without my consent (additional $20/month)

Just received several surprise emails from Xfinity.
"Thanks for reaching out to Xfinity"
"Here's the article you requested" (about 10 of these)
"Thanks, here is your Xfinity order confirmation" (or "Your updated service order is confirmed")

To state the obvious.
I did not request any changes to my account.
I did not request any new service to be added.

I did not confirm any changes to my account (because I didn't request changes).

I did not request any articles.

So why was this NOW TV added as a service to my account without my consent?
This might be a violation according to the Consumer Protection Act.

And looks like some folks filled FCC complaints about this.

So my requests to Xfinity are:
1. Remove this Now TV service from my account immediately.

2. Explain why/how it was possible so this service was added without my consent.

I found several other complaints about exactly the same thing. Sounds like a real fraud scheme is going on ...

Sorry to hear about the experience you encountered with changes to your account that you didn't request.  If you could send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account, I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

To send a Direct Message, please click on the “Direct Message” icon in the top-right corner of the screen, next to the bell icon, click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon, then type or select "Xfinity Support". Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window and press Enter to send your message and initiate a live session.

This also happened to me , seems like you all are trying to take advantage of people who don’t pay attention to their automatic payments. Huge scam- makes me want to leave xfinity .
