Hard Inquiry on my Credits even when I ask the agent twice to not do that , how to escalate get corrected and ask for the compensation

I  signed up for xfinity Mobile today, in the process i was asked to provide SSN number and the agent told its going to be just identity check and not a hard check.

I was shocked to see an alert from credit monitoring platform that I got a hard hit.

A lot of agent, I'm trying to speak do not understand the meaning of it. But I got my credit application impacted, I need compensation for it and also need to get that fixed from Comcast.

All credit inquiries performed by Xfinity are soft inquiries, also known as soft credit checks or soft credit pulls. This means Xfinity is checking the customer’s credit report, but not in connection with a specific application for credit, like a loan application. If you are receiving a hard inquiry, you may need to reach out to the credit agency for review @user_0i4jzo.

I did reach out to credit agency before reporting here and they confirmed its a hard inquiry and only lender can correct it or I have to report identity stolen.

Its a serious issue to impact customer's credit but I'm surprised to see the cold response on that.

What agency did you reach out to @user_0i4jzo?  A "soft credit inquiry," in contrast to a hard inquiry, typically occurs when you check your own credit, or when a lender pre-approves you for an offer without a full application.  Soft inquiries do not affect your credit score.  Hard inquiries, like the one you've reported, generally happen when you apply for credit, such as a loan or a credit card, and are recorded as a potential new account.  Only the account holder can authorize a credit screening. All credit inquiries performed by Xfinity are soft inquiries, also known as soft credit checks or soft credit pulls. This means Xfinity is checking the customer’s credit report, but not in connection with a specific application for credit, like a loan application.  Soft inquiries don't impact the customer’s credit score, so they don't have to worry that the inquiry will decrease their credit score. The inquiry also isn't visible to other potential lenders who may review the customer’s credit report.

@XfinityArmand  I got hard inquiry in Experian and I called them but they are still not agreeing to remove that on my request. They want lender to call.
